Complaint 3 of 9 in "COBRA or Coordination of Benefits"

Insurance Carrier: Geha And B/C B/S Traditional Plan
State: New Jersey

Consumer Complaint:

I have dual insurance. Primary is GEHA and secondary is B/C B/S. The allowable amount for GEHA is 14,160 leaving a balance of 7290. BCB/S will only pay up to the allowable amount set by GEHA and refuses to pay any more even though their allowable amount would have been higher.

Insurance Expert Answer:

This is something we can't help with other than to say read the policies VERY carefully and see if you can support your interpretation in the language of the policy. Then write to the CEO of the company and ask politely for an explanation. Be persistent.
