Question 16 of 20 in How Much Do I Need?

Can I buy life insurance over the internet or by telephone or mail order?

You can get plenty of information, including quotes, on the Internet, by telephone or by mail order. But the way you complete the sale depends on the particular company that you choose to buy from. Generally, larger amounts of insurance coverage require you to have an agent and possibly undergo a medical examination.

However, there are also some mail-order companies advertising that you will never need a medical examination. The policies offered by such companies usually have restrictions on the amount of coverage, and they may also have other policy provisions that you need to examine carefully.
