Question 3 of 17 in Private Policies (Individual)

I am paying the premiums out-of-pocket. Will my benefits be taxed?

Generally, if you pay the premiums for your policy with after-tax dollars, your benefits will be tax-free. On the other hand, if you do not pay for the policy (your employer pays), your benefits will be taxable.
