Question 6 of 17 in Private Policies (Individual)

I'm an eye surgeon, But can no longer perform surgery due to an accident. I am instead going to teach at the local medical school. Will I be able to continue to receive full benefits since I can no longer operate?

It depends on how your policy defines disability. If you are considered disabled when you cannot perform your normal occupation, then you will continue to receive your full benefits. If it defines disability as inability to perform any suitable occupation, you are not disabled. Therefore, you are not eligible for disability benefits.
