Question 1 of 1 in Switching Policies

I want to cancel my existing disability policy and replace it with another. What are some of the considerations?

Be sure that you can get the new policy before canceling the existing policy. Also, be sure about how much the premiums will be and exactly what the terms of the new policy will be. Some things to consider are:

1. Elimination period

2. Amount of disability income provided

3. Length of disability to be covered

4. Description of what constitutes disability

5. What occupations you might be expected to perform

6. Can the policy be cancelled?

6. Can the rate be raised?
