Question 5 of 14 in The Insurance Company

Can the company cancel because I have filed a claim?

It all depends on the type and number of claims filed and the loss experience on a particular insurance policy. Generally speaking, you won’t lose coverage for occasional claims -- even if they are major. During the terms of the insurance policy, the insurance company can’t cancel the coverage except for certain exceptions -- fraud in the inducement (lying on the insurance application) or your failure to pay premiums when due, for example.
