Question 18 of 42 in Overview

Should I buy travel coverage from the trip company or from a third party travel insurer?

Generally, it is better to buy coverage from a third party travel insurer that is financially sound. This is because, in the event that the trip company becomes bankrupt, the travel protection that they issue is likely to be worthless. Only a portion, or none, of any outstanding claims might be paid. And, it might take a long time for you to recover anything.
