Question 41 of 42 in Overview

I was advised to be careful about the distinction between “trip cancellation insurance” and “comprehensive travel insurance, Including trip-interruption coverage”?

“Trip cancellation insurance” only protects against having to call off the trip before departure.

“Comprehensive travel insurance, including trip cancellation coverage” is preferable because it provides reimbursement for the unused portion of prepaid expenses if the trip must be cut short after it is in progress because of a medical emergency or other covered reason.
