Company History: United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company (USF&G) of Baltimore, Maryland, (with its subsidiaries), was acquired in 1998 by The St. Paul Companies headquartered in Minnesota. Following additional corporate acquisitions and restructuring, the acquiring company is now known as The Travelers Companies, headed by a publicly traded holding company.
