"I requested a hypothetical quote to add my boyfriend to my policy for when we move in together next month. This was just a quote I was not looking to change my policy at this time. I just saw that they have added him to policy and the premium is higher than the quote they gave me. Now the quote was to add him as a driver and to add a vehicle. All they did was add him as a driver no vehicle included. So Why is the premium higher for just a driver than it is for a car as well. I called to tell them I did not authorize this and they said because I did not reply to the questionaire they automatically added him. I went back to the "questionaire" as they called it and it does not state anywhere that they would make the changes if I did not reply. They said they cannot cancel him because I stated he lived with me. However I said this was just a quote for when we moved in together. So they need me to provide proof that he does not live with me which we do not have he lives with family no bills in his name. And I have to provide proof that he has insurance. Well he does not have insurance at the moment because he does not have a car. We will be buying one and then getting insurance. Now my premium has over doubled and I will have to switch insurance companies just to get this fixed."

" I have been with this company for 11 years. Recently added a driver to the policy about 2 months ago. Now need to remove driver from policy. What a joke they refused to remove the driver unless I can prove this driver does not live at this address or prove this driver has other insurance. This driver is my daughter she turned 18 and went nuts moved out of the house and I do not know where she is so therefore I cant provide an address. This is ridiculous I did not have to go through this to add her they were glad to take the money for teen driver.I have no option but to drop the whole policy which I will...I will find a company that respects and values their customers..GOOD BYE GEICO"

"When you wreck your car You don't have a choice through dealers to certify it with OEM parts. They will only pay for used/aftermarket parts. The adjuster is a complete jerk and unwilling to provide any details regarding the repair. Im in the middle of it with him and I really am dissatisfied with this company. Customer Service is great Adjuster is rude."

"Upon discovery that my 19-year old son works for Domino's Pizza Geico not only dropped him from the insurance but ME as well. My record is good and I have had insurance in good standing for 26 years. When I contested they were adamant in refusing to insure me. I switched to another insurance and will never again consider Geico. "

"Terrible customer service and condescending attitude with trained politeness no matter how upset and dissatisfied the customer is. They allowed an unauthorized applicant my adult son to ask for a quote on my policy while they were just hypothetically asking how much it would be to add him. They then added him without my permission and my policy rate went up 4x. They then wanted me to prove he did not live with me. Made me feel like a liar and angered me to the highest level. No apology no follow up phone calls. After providing the "proof" they had to be called and chased to find the email in which they said they cannot read the attachment why because they can't read Mac iOS files "Can you resend them in a format we can use". Look it is not my business to get into my son's personal affairs. Beware of switching to GEICO for the lower rate."

"Geico is the worst insurance company i have ever dealt with I cancelled my policy and a month later they took 500 out of my account and then took 3 weeks to give me my money back I ended up paying 60 in overdraft fees so basically it cost me 60 to cancel with them. There reps are completely incompetent to boot NEVER GO TO GEICO"

"Had a gap in auto insurance at the time I called Geico. The gave me a fairly high quote because of the gap but said if I maintained insurance for a straight six months theyd give me a price cut. Well six months have passed and no break. Unethical company...... run from them."

"Stay away from Geico The worst insurance company you can be with. I believe they have all that money for advertising because they don't pay out or pay out very low portions of actual claims. It took them a month to just get me a value on my totalled vehicle. The value they gave is a lowball value about 2000 less than the actual value. After going back and forth another 2 weeks they still stick to their value and now I have to go thru mediation or probably get a lawyer. Slow unprofessional unfair and all I can say is STAY AWAY"

"I got rear ended at a high rate of speed by a drunk driver and my car was totaled because I was driving a vintage car that I had paid 5000.00 for they would only offer 500.00. I proved what I had paid for the car still no satisfaction. I got an attorney and he coaxed a few more dollars out of them. I dropped them before they could drop me. They claim to have a 97% satisfaction rate but after reading the feedback about them it looks more like 10% satisfaction. The only positives I see look like shill statements. Is anyone happy with those jerks? "

"I Hit a 18 wheeler tire on I-75 in the night and severely damaged my front end It was still drivable.Had to pay the 500.00 deductible but the work was done at a very good repair facility and I was satisfied with the way it was handled.It was a brand new car and it still looked brand new when repaired. I guess I did OK just hated paying the deductible. "

"Have had one auto claim. Adjustment was very fair everyone was helpful. Payument of claim was somewhat slow but ok. They did not overly raise my ratedo to the claim. Would definitely recommend them."

"Not only was the claims adjustor rude and expected me to memorize the 15 minute briefing on the procedure that GEICO uses right after I found my car stolen they will not pay for the first 48 hours of car rental when your vehicle is taken. More disturbing the adjustor said that a determination on what "SHE" would pay me would be made if the vehicle was not recovered indicating to me that if I was not compliant and accepting of her rudeness she would not give the value of my vehicle and that she had discretion on the value. Long story short my car was recovered 7 days after theft but I will never forgot the run in with this claims adjustor. I wish current or prospective customers the best of luck should your car be stolen. "

"I have had insurance through GEICO since 1982. They have always been extremely customer-service oriented. They are availabele 24/7 365 days a year and there are never long wait times. To give you an example of their exceptional service I totaled my car at 300 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon and an adjuster handed me a check at 530 p.m. the next day. They are first-rate "

"It was my fault. I hit another vehicle in the back when they stopped suddenly to make a turn after realizing they were passing their street. There was no damage to their vehicle at all as we were driving very slowly. The other driver had no medical claims either. The only damage was to my right front bumper. I decided to file a claim and get it fixed. I had been with Geico for over six years and had a good driver discount. They gave me 585.00 to fix the bumper after removing the 250.00 deductible. THEN my rates soared 500 every six months for THREE years due to the accident. really? For a claim that cost them 585.00?"

Worse yet they are implying we had something to do with the loss of the vehicle. They are encouraged if not forced to do so. Thirty five years driving paramedic law enforcement officer and every time renewal comes around the premiums increase. It is quite the scam. "I have had Geico for over 12 years. I filed a claim once in 2004. The claim was paid out without any issues. I only wish Geico rates would be a little bit lower or they had a program similar to Allstate where one gets 100 discount every year you go without an accident. "

"My car rolled into another car no damage to my car and two small chips from his cars bumper. He said he was hurt not possibleGieco paid him 875 and raised my premium 638 a year from 1136 a year to 1774. They also took away my good driver rateing. I had to keep calling them if I wanted to know what was happening with the claim they never called me. They refuse to let me see the information on the claim. I have been with them for 15 years and have paid them thousands of dollars and always thought they would be there for me. Wrong DO NOT BUY GIECO INSURANCE THEY WILL NOT BE THERE FOR YOU WHEN YOU NEED THEM I am a very good driver but now because of Gieco my rating has been down graded to C. "

"My 79 year old father who had no license and wasnt on my insurance backed my truck up into a car and Geico paid it with no raise in my rates 6 months later i hit an animal with my car Geico paid for the tow and paid again to fix it. I have not had any problems with this company. Thanks Geico"

"Geico bill was 327. I paid it in full and ended up with an 8 balance due. Their response is that I have a balance due because of the NJ PLIGA surcharge of 3. Where do they get 8 out of 3 due By the way the surcharge is legislated at 0.9 per annum of the net premium which on 327 would be 2.943 and not 3 or 8. Maybe I should have dealt with the Gecko....."

"I have been with geico for over 5 years and only had to make 2 claims one in 2009 and one in 2011. Both times very friendly and helpful they take care of everything. But about 7 months after the 2011 accident they send me a letter saying that they are dropping me due to the two accidents Are you serious Isnt that what insurance is for. The first accident they didnt have to pay anything out. The second accident they had to pay 1600 dollars out which given how much I have paid them over 5 plus years that is pretty insignificant. Geico is good to you as long as you dont have an accident even friendly during claim but watch out because they will drop you in an instant. What angers me more is that I had a great rate with them now on my search for a new company the rates are sky high. Not happy at all."

"Gieco is cheap auto insurance - you get what you pay for and even more cut rate customer service. I had one accident that was not my fault and Geieco would not even give me advise on how to deal with the perpetrators insurance company. But it is the cheapest so if you need to drive and dont dont make a lot of money......just dont get in an accident."

"Geico car insurance is fine. Their home partners Homesite was the worst experience of my life. They lost my paperwork twice. When a hail storm hit my house I needed 6 windows replaced they gave me 200 a window and when I got bids they refused to even listen to it. They said I needed a lawyer or to stop calling her. I asked to speak to the supervisor and his mailbox was full for two weeks straight."

"Geico was wonderful. I hit a deer and they could not have been more helpful with the claim. They supplied me with rent a car all I had to do was go pick it up. They called to make sure I was ok. Handled everthing from start to finish. Their concern was for me. My car was totaled and I received a check promptly. "

"I got into an accident it wasnt my fault it was a hit and run and i slid into the side rail. The lady handling my claim asked me so many questions in which I didnt understand or answer because 1 I hit my head in the accident and 2 Im in a ton of pain so thinking clearly is not possible."

"I chose Geico Auto Insurance because Im a single 23 year old male. Which pretty much means Im screwed if I want affordable insurance. Even though I have good credit havent had a speeding ticket since I was sixteen and I have zero accidents. I recently bought a new car and I only had liability on my previous car It was only worth maybe 2500 but I had no idea how expensive full coverage was on a new car. Every Insurance company besides Geico wanted 1000-1300 for minimum coverage with a 250 down payment Geico was half of that without any down payment and triple the coverage. Now Ive heard they arent always the best to deal with when you do have to make a claim but luckily I havent needed that experience yet. "

"An idiot crossed the yellow line and hit me and got a careless driving ticket. I was injured as I was thrown from my motorcycle. Now gieco denyed my claim due to the guilty person's story, which is not true. I have an attorney on it but it is sad Geico can disreguard the victim's story and belive the person that caused the accident, all to prevent a loss. Thumbs down for Geico."

"No deal to multiple policies. Each policy is farmed out to a different underwriter. Impossible literally to call one company to manage all policies. Nearly impossible to figure out who actually is underwriting each separate policy. Also refused coverage of an accident b/c there was no police report. Clearly had coverage. "

"The GEICO adjustor gave a very low estimate. I have front end damage he did not check under the hood. He said he wrote the damage he saw. His manner was very condescending and negative toned. The customer care I am receiving because I did not go with the collision center GEICO recommended is less that acceptable."

"They do not get back to you. For claim or info change they say that someone will call you back to provide you with service but never do. they just take your money and give you the run around. you will be required to chase them around to get them to do their job. "Our parked car was hit and totaled by a drunk driver. The other driver had AAA and we had some difficulty dealing with them. Geico reps we very nice and helpful told us not to worry about AAA. Geico paid us without hassle for the value of our car and took car of dealing with AAA for us. Hassle free. Well done."

"Accident reported the driver that hit me was speeding following too closely and failed to yield the right of way. Geico is saying I am 75 at fault and the highway patrolman even said the other party would be found at fault 100 of the time. Run Forrest run from Geico. Mom always told me you get what you pay for."

"My monthly costs went from 80 to 190 AFTER I signed the contract because THEY made an error in the application process. I had already quit my previous insurance by the time I found this out. If I had know this would have been the cost I wouldnt have joined. When I called the only way they were willing to reduce my costs was to reduce my benefits."

"Filed three claims for auto damage. All claims were settledand repairs completed in under seven days.GEICO has a contracted auto repair facility near my home which they recommended but didnt insist I use. I gave the facility a try on the first claim and was completely satisfied with the quality of work so I had no problem returning their for the other two claims. "

"A police report clearly showed my daughter was not at fault when someone backed into her and the other driver was cited for unsafe backing. Geico was challenged and agreed to pay half the costs even though the other driver was found guilty in court for unsafe backing. A false report was filed against me for an accident wherein I was not involved or even present. Geico held me accountable for more than a year before their own investigation determined it was bogus."

"In looking for an insurance company, coverage, rates, and custmer care is what sways me. This company has reasonable rates and coverage is average. I am not satisfied with the company because being average on rates and coverage, meaning all insurance companies offer similar rates and coverage(popular plans); however, customer care, in my opinion is what keeps a customer. This is where Geico fails countlessly. Although, me the consumer, may not be informed about documents needed to be filled out or sent back in I ought not be treated as if I am inconveniencing the agents. I am sure Geico the entity is a great company but I rate them on what experience I receive from the agents who are the face of Geico. I would highly recommend Geico to reestablish the importance of excellent customer care; it brings in business! As a salesperson, going the extra mile makes a heck of a difference and Geico would undoubtedly be an even greater competitor if they taught this sales mentality."

"I had two separate incidents in which I had to make a claim. The first was very positive. I had been hit in a parking garage and they took care of everything within a few days. I was able to take my car in immediately and get a loaner. The second incident was a little troubling.I had brought a car into their shop to take care of a dent I received from an object flying off a truck. I also ask them to give me an idea of how much it would cost to fix a dent I had caused (I told them that as well) by backing into a planter. They told me they would have to raise my insurance if I fixed anything so I ended up getting the dents repaired through another garage but I had to pay for everything. After that, I raised my deductible so that I would use them only if I had a major calamity."

"GEICO record my credit card information while I was purchasing insurance from this company, and then renew my insurance without my permission by directly withdrawing money from my credit card. When asking for reason, I was informed that they have a policy of automatic renewal which I have never known and must call in ahead to cancel it if you do not want to keep business with them, and for refund, I have to submit my new insurance information to prove that I have ever bought a new one from other company, which means they take your money without your permission (is that robbery?), and you have to show evidence you are legal to have your money back. Watch out your wallet!"

"Geico was extremely slow with my claim and repair - over 9 weeks. I phoned the local claims adjuster almost every week, about 7 times and he returned my call once, leaving a vague message. Geico refused three recommendations/ quotes from the body shop, and each iteration took 2 or 3 weeks. They refused to pay for a new hood and fender, insisting the body shop must repair and the result was poor. I was forced to buy a different truck because of the long wait. I sold the repaired truck and changed insurance immediately after the repair."

"my wife was in an accident in march of this year. She was stopped and preparing to make a left turn when struck from behind by a vehicle traveling over 60 mph. Of course we filed against the at fault drivers ins, however geico was almost obstructive in our conversations with them about the accident. The rep that i talked to was not forthcoming with any information at all and balked at answering my questions. We were quoted a competitive rate 3 years ago but each and every year our premiums have gone up considerably. I have not had an accident or ticket in 20 years and neither has my wife. Geico sucks. period"

"geico refused to represent me in an accident as the policy provided for. Then settled the suit against me paying money to those who caused the accident. The result was damage to my driving record and their making a profit off of me in the form of increased payments."

"My best advice is to not have an accident or make a claim. All is well when you are just paying installments. I had an accident in May. The claim adjustor apparently had brain damage. She did not know anything about my claim. My car was totaled. The adjustor made false statements on the evaluation of my car in order to decrease the value. Overall, a pathetic excuse for an insurance company."

"Empty promises. I was told twice that my premium would go down "on the next policy renewal", and the first time they told me that, my premium actually went up. I have a great driving record, there is no reason for my rates not to go down. After the 2nd empty promise I went to Liberty Mutual and saved over 50% a month."

"Their approach to claims is to settle and make you take responsibility regardless of the facts in the case. I pay them to represent me and the adjuster I spoke with wsa unbelievably rude to me, unwilling to listen (she had already made her mind up about the claim prior to even seeing pictures). She then implied I was lying, that I am careless, and made a comment about how it is likely I could have hit a pedestrian (it was a parking lot fender bender and I was the one hit). "

"When I got in a wreck and had to get a new car, I had to totally redo my insurance which was fine. I set it up with automatic payment like I had done for the past year. "I am a Geico customer for over 7 years. Recently I bought a home insurance policy. As I was on the phone with Geico representative, forgot the name of representative "Mr.G" told me that I will get 10% discount on me auto insurance. That was a lie. Today I called them to make sure my 10% discount on auto is kicked in, However was surprised to find out first they use third party to provide home insurance and only give you multipolicy discount which is only 3%. I had a high rating for Geico and never thought company this big can do thing like this. I am really really disappointed."

"Had a car that was 6 months old when I was run off the road by another driver. Used their "recommended" repair shop which told me the car probably should not be fixed. The adjustor insisted they fix it anyway and I was without the car for 6 MONTHS, still paying payments and still paying for insurance. In the meantime, the adjustor and GEICO personnel were rude and unresponsive. Car came back with the frame WELDED together. After I hired an attorney, GEICO totaled the car but then took it out of state and sold it. Checked it on CARFAX and GEICO did not even report it as having been wrecked. Good luck if you ever have to use your insurance if you are insured by them."

"GEICO has ALWAYS been extremely good to me. You never know what you have until you experience a loss. When we collided with a deer in Wyoming several years ago, GEICO bent over backwards to help. We asked that they temp repair the vehicle so we could get home, which they did. When we got home , the Company had the van repaired to better than new. That was when we had about 4500 miles accrued. The van now has more than 125000 and everything still works. As a company, I give them the highest marks possible. Thanks, GEICO!"

"I switched homeowners insurance to Geico (had car insurance for years) because they quoted a lower rate. One reason was they had the rebuilding costs less than the old company. When I asked about that they said they had accurate estimates of rebuilding and that I was covered for 150% anyway. "What started out as a $1200/yr premium ended at $4000. The customer service was like talking to a wall and the Claims department and Sales Department blamed each other and sent me back an forth. "I am with this company for 2+ years. I was returning from office and some wood frame was on the road (GSP where speed limit is 65). I try to avoid but could not as speed was around 65-70km. Front bumper got scraches and I reported to Geico. They told me to replace that one and copay is $500. Geico Paid around $700. But after that I am they increased my payment by $450 a year. And they told me they will keep it for 3 years. Now looking for some other company. I think they are good until nothing happens to your car but if something happens you will see how cheap are they. Dude they dont listen thats the main problem."

"Geico treated me very fairly when my sons were involved in an accident, one driving and one a passenger. Both were teenagers. My rate did not go up. During the time we were filing claims on the accident. A Geico rep called and asked if we were sending in all of the medical costs for the passenger son. She said that it was less than they had expected. He had received minor injuries and we had submitted everything. The Geico rep wanted to make sure that we were submitting everything that we were due. This impressed me with Geico. It was great customer service to actually call me on this, when the result could have been that they would have had more to pay."

"My husband and I have had auto insurance with this company for about two years. Customer Service is very friendly. We had a difficult time financialy and our coverage lapsed due to non payment for a week. Customer Service was very understanding and helped me to get back on track. They even said they were sorry for leaving me on hold for short periods of the time. The Customer Service rep explained to me the next payment date and told me why I had that amount due. But what they did not tell me was that I couldn't remove him unless I proved he had coverage from another company. I tried to tell them that he will never drive my vehicle again, but it did not matter. You cannot remove dependent drivers from your policy once they are on there. Absolutely horrible customer service staffed by kids. 11 years with this company and they pretty much said "we've got plenty of customers...bye bye. Now I have to go and look for new insurance. "GEICO put full coverage on a hunk of junk and not my new vehicle. Even though it was transfered over to the appropriate vehicle, somehow only liability coverage has been in effect. I financed the car so their had to be full coverage however, they claim I never had full coverage on this vehicle, not even once. There is more to this story. Let's just say I am extremely dissapointed with their follow through and their follow up. If we made an agreement over the phone, then thats the insurance I should have. GEICO is playing games with my account and stating they never sent out paperwork indicating full coverage. However, I have had numerous calls requesting it over the phone and checking up on it. And they would always say yes you have full coverage."

"I've only made a glass claim with Geico and everything turned out well but when I first made the claim I was told I didn't have full glass on my coverage. I paid for the repairs out of pocket because they were under my deductible. When I called back to close the claim and add full glass I was informed I already had full glass coverage and was quickly refunded the expense. I'm not sure if it was an honest mistake or a scam but I'm not staying with Geico. I also had a car broken into and Geico estimated the damage at $9 over my deductible. I didn't think it an unfair estimate and didn't make a claim."

"I'm a 30 yr old female, drive a 2007 Honda Civic and have had Geico auto insurance for about 5 years now. Out of the 5 claims I've had with them (some weren't my fault) Geico was creat with most of them--good response from agents, easy to get my car rental, local rep was very nice and helpful, good response from phone reps, always paid for all my repairs on time and with no effort from me. Because I had 3 accidents in 2007, and were considered "at fault," Geico is cancelling me, which on some level, I don't blame them. Of course, they did go up on my premium after I had the 3 accidents, which I expected, but they didn't cancel me at the time, which was nice. I hate that they won't renew my policy now because of the 2007 accidents, especially since I never had an accident before these 3, so I plan to find another auto insurance company until I can go back with Geico. As far as car insurance companies go, I've been pretty pleased with Geico. They definitely are easy to work with and I did find their phone reps to be knowledgeable and helpful. The only time I really had any trouble was when a young college girl ran a stop sign and slammed into the right side of my Civic. She was covered under her dad's insurance and he was also a Geico customer. I think they were late on making their premium payment and maybe that was the reason Geico wasn't as helpful as they usually were. I did have to make several phone calls to figure out what whether they would cover my car repairs or not. Aside from that one incident, I would have to say that as far as car insurance companies go, Geico is probably one of the best. I'd definitely recommend them! Reasonable prices and good customer service!"

"Warning!!! Be careful when using their online quote service. I was curious about how much it would cost to add my fiance to my policy in the future. Geico instantly added him and his vehicle to my policy and refused to take him back off. I DID NOT finalize the quote. THEY DID! I had just paid my 6 month premium but now they tripled it because of his driver record. "I have been with them for 4+ years and until one year ago I had zero problems. Admitting my own mistake, I was working a LOT of overtime and forgot to make my payment. When I realized my mistake I immediately called to make the payment. This was at 5am in the morning, turned out that they had cancelled my policy at 12:01am that same morning. My rate jumped by over double due to 5hrs, I excepted my mistake and renewed at the higher rate. They told me that by "company guidelines" after 6 months it could be reviewed and as long as there were no problems it would likely drop back down to the original figure. So six months later I called to renew and they told me that the drop in rate was never the case and that I had to wait one year according to "company guidelines"... fine whatever, I once again excepted it and renewed. Last month I called to explore the drop in rate, 6 calls later here I sit being told that it cannot go any lower due to "company guidelines". So after being with them for several years and having never cost them a single dime (zero tickets zero accidents, zero claims)I have been being punished for a full year by having to pay over twice my prior rate during that time, I am shopping elsewhere!"

"The customer service I received was horrible, out of the four customer service representatives (plus one supervisor) only two showed compassion and the willingness to work on my behalf while the others just keep informing me that since I did not have the monies for the deductible that I had to go through the other person insurance agency. Now, after my accident I spent eight hours locating numbers, laws about insurance and talking to the other insurance company (which they attempted to have me to pay out of pocket for the towing & storage fee). So, now I have gone two business days (which the claims department is only open Mon. – Fri.) and a weekend without a car and without knowing any information about my claim (car). I finally decided to e-mail my agent again and she finally called (with an attitude) placed me on mute –which is bad customer service skills, so after confronting the agent about placing me on mute she stated that she did not have to hear what I had to say so I requested to speak to her supervisor and after speaking to her supervisor for the second time I finally got the information I needed. This whole process only too me 3 business days (one weekend) and 9 hours of phone time, and I still don’t have a car."

"I rear ended a pickup truck in my 2006 Ford Fusion about a month ago. The adjuster came out in the snow and determined my damage to be $9200. The body shop where I had taken my car did not feel this was sufficient, pulled the car inside, and asked the adjuster to come back out. When he did, he determined my car to be a total loss. This was on December 31st, 2007. Blue Book on my car was approx $18,500, and Geico cut a check to my lender for $18,200.00(w/ a $500 deductible) today. Even though it was obviously his fault (the police report even said so) he denied responsibility so his insurance company (USAA) told me I would either have to go through my insurance (Geico) or wait the 1-2 months for the investigation to complete. Of course I chose the latter. I bought the car 5 months ago for $34,000 and added a $7,000 bodykit and had Geico insure my aftermarket items (they charged me for it). The Geico adjuster (Jason Wood) offered me $31,000. When I challenged the adjuster's offer, he told me that the bodykit only offered a $850 increase in the resell value. He simply could not understand that I didn't insure my car for resell, but REPLACEMENT in case of an accident, which I thought was the purpose of car insurance in the first place. I ended up having to call his supervisor (Mario), which was no help, so I called his supervisor (Manuel) too. After explaining my situation over and over he finally realized what I was getting at and offered to pay for the bodykit reimbursement. He said he would pay the full value of the kit because it was only 5 months old. Jason Wood (adjuster) came back with another value, which again needed to be corrected because he failed to notice I had litronic (HID) headlights. Luckily for me it only took 24 hours for them to correct the amount I was owed, $39k. I was told I needed to contact Geico in Georgia to receive my check. They told me that since I was in a rush and I owned the Boxster I could simply go to my adjuster and exchange my car's title for the check. I called Jason and he said he didn't have checks. Geico Georgia told me that I could overnight my title to them and have a check overnighted back. I paid the $20 and overnighted my title to Geico Georgia. I called Geico to make sure they were sending me my check, and the girl told me that they were sending me a check for $31,000! I notified her that she was incorrect, so she said she'd call my adjuster but since he didn't answer they'd have to get back to me. I called them back 30 minutes later and they told me that they got the correct amount verified but that they RAN OUT OF CHECKS and that I would have to wait until Monday (it's Thursday). I told her that that was ridiculous and asked for her supervisor. The woman came back online after 5 minutes and told me that they were sending me out a check today, and that they would call me back soon with a tracking number. I waited an hour then called them back. She said they didn't have checks and that someone was looking for some. I asked her what time it was in Georgia and she said 5pm. Then I asked her how they were going to overnight me as check at 5pm, and she said "I guess it won't be." The people at Geico behave as though they are paying out the claims out of their own pockets. They are irrational and they lie. This experience has become a nightmare. I have had to be on the phone with Geico pretty much every day for a month, fighting with them. Having airbags deploy in my face and bruising up my arms was not nearly as bad as dealing with Geico. I would highly suggest that you STAY AWAY from Geico. Especially if you are located in the Los Angeles area. The local representatives here are HORRIBLE and you will never get them on the phone, they will call you back EVENTUALLY. I cannot stress enough the pain you may endure if you have an accident and have to deal with Geico, whether it's your insurance or that of the person who crashes into you."
