"The only way I can file a claim is when I died, because is a life insurance, and then will not be me, it will be my beneficiary. But I can tell you something, twice I had to barrow against my policy and they were very nice about it, of course I paid it back asap. And now I am going to try them also as a health insurance medicare supplement."

"My hypertension elevated very high to the point that I had heart palpataions, so my primary physician put me on disability until they could get my pressure stablized - which was 4 weeks. Each of the physicians that I was seen by submitted their notes to Mutual of Omaha. Then I was told it had to go to the review board and I was denied. Who is the review board? And did not my physicians report mean anything?
I have paid into S-T-D for over eight years and I was not asking for a hand out, only what I thought was what I was paying for.
I will never sign up for it again and I will encourage all of my co-workers to do the same. The company is ripping peopleoff by taking their money and not delivering the help it promises when needed. "
