"After 23 years with the company they dropped me to a state mandatory limit of coverage - $5K. They stated it was because I had too many claims and moving violations. I have five cars costing over $7K/yr. Although I had a clean record for about 20 years the prior three years there were 3 minor fender benders (Amica paid no more than $1K out of their pocket) and 3 moving violations. This seems like a lot but two were in a parking lot and one was low speed impact in rotary. Right after they dropped my coverage my wife was in an accident. Because of the low coverage it cost me $8.5 K out of pocket. AFter 23 years of paying thousands of dollars and a very clean record for the majority of the time they dropped my coverage and left me vulnerable. I would never recommend this company to anyone!!!"

"as a former Rhode Island resident with about 40 years of auto insurance with this company, I can only say good things about them. I do not like it however that after 30 plus years of homeowners insurance I have to take my business elsewhere because I live in Florida"

"Parallel parking I touched the car behind very lightly. A women jumped out claiming I had scratched her bumper. I am two passengers in my car examined her bumper and found nothing but she made a claim against Amica. Amica informed me that it would pay her $600. That amount would have raised my rate $500 a year. I brow beat my agent into calling my witnesses and lowering the pay out to some $300, which wouldn't raise my rate. Still it was a fraudulent claim. The agent admitted that contesting a claim, even if fraudulent, took too much time. I finally did prevail, but feel put upon and annoyed."
