"i have Prudential disability insurance through my employer and I was injured aad surgery and am currently out on short term disability. I have had nothing but problems from day one with this claim. I was out of work for almost 6 weeks before I received a weeks benefits. I have requested direct deposit for my payments on 4 differnet occasions and until this day, I still have paper checks coming(I've been out since the first week in March). I never received any papers for this that they supposedly sent me. My r. sent paperwork over to prudential after my last visit which was in the middle of may. My claims manager told me they received it last week and it would be reviewed. My case was turned over to a "claims specialist" who I spoke with yesterday ansd she was extremely rude on the phone said they never got any paperwork from them. She said I am not going to get paid because my employer canot accomodate my restrictions and my doctor doesn't know what he is doing because I don't have another appt. ntil the first of July. I tried to explain my situation and again she was rude, cut me off and yelled at me. She told me I have to call my Dr. and get papers and send them to prudential, I have to get papers from my therapist and send them to her also. I also have to make another appointment to see him one month from my last because my restrictions said to "increase duration of hours over a 1-2 month period" so I needed to go back and see him in 4 weeks. Myrestrictions said they were to be in ffect from 6-8 weeks but she didn't care about that. My employer is the one that said I have to go back between 6-8 weeks to be re-evaluated for release with no restrictions. She said that was ridiculous. Ia asked to speak with her supervisor and am still waiting for a return call. They do not care about you or your situation. I would like to know one thing...Do these Claims adjusters have medical degrees? because they think they do, and if so why are they working for insurance companies and not in the medical field? I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. I have worked for the same company for 22 years and have dealt with quite a few insurance companies and this is the worst by far."
