"Excellent company." 2007-09-09 21:30:31 EST
"The company before the merger with Lutheran Brotherhood was excellent. Since the merger the compnay has swiftly dropped in it's customer service and the performance of it's products iss very poor. This is another merger which is not in the interest of the original policy holders. I doubt if Thrivent can survive as a Lutheran organization with this poor service and poor performance." 2007-09-17 13:07:12 EST
"Great company, caring and friendly representitives." 2007-12-06 17:55:04 EST
"Very focused on the individual - putting our best interests at the forefront. Faith-based organization means much also." 2008-01-09 17:17:14 EST
"have been paying into an annuity for decades.
want to annuitize. the original certificate was with AAL..and the policy states irrevokable payout terms that are higher than they wish to pay. cannot get any information or answers. They wish to change the pay out terms. Should not need to pay an attorney for them to live up to their own contract. The agent was supposed to call..did not. Supposed to send paperwork to explain whay he "could not understand", did not. The company cannot/will not explain why they will not comply with the original terms. Am presented with paperwork that clearly says what the Present Terms are and asked to sign them TO COMPLY IRREVOKABLY inorder to annuitize. Is this Faith Based? They take your money on faith for sure!" 2008-02-01 19:46:56 EST
"THIS IS NOT AN INSURANCE COMPANY - IT'S A FRATERNAL ORGANIZATION AND THEY ARE EXEMPT FROM THE INSURANCE LAWS THAT SHOULD PROTECT YOU!!!!! My mother had a "refund of premuims" disability policy with Lutheran Brotherhood (now Thrivent). The deal was to pay $2,000.00 per year for 10 years. If no claims were made, there would be a refund of all premiums with no interest. They were happy to take her $500.00 every 3 months, but when the policy came due, they refused to give her her money. It was $20,000.00. They claim they changed the terms of the policy and that she agreed to it (SHE DID NOT - WHO WOULD AGREE TO THAT????). These people are LIARS and THIEVES. See an article in the Wall Street Journal, May 2006, "Some Life Insurers Play by Different Rules" by Theo Francis. They should be rotting in jail. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKED SOB'S. You would be better off flushing your money down the toilet, because then these jerks wouldn't benefit from it. " 2008-05-19 23:11:11 EST
"This organization is filled with caring people trying to compete in an unforgiving world. They have always done what is in the member's best interest and helped out a lot of people in the process" 2008-06-12 12:32:42 EST
"Since the merger between former AAL and Lutheran Brotherhood, Thrivent has steadily made their products less competitive and reduced the level of service provided to customers. The number of field representatives is drastically less and the ones that remain have no experience.
A sick company getting sicker every day." 2008-09-02 08:17:53 EST
"I have been insured by Thrivent Financial for almost 30 years. I have many policies with this company as well. My first policy was purchased in 1978, and my most recent was purchased in 2008. I value the policies that I own and appreciate this company because they do what is right, for their members. I know of no other organization that has done what Thrivent Financial has done for me and for my community. A big thank you to this fine company. THANK - YOU!" 2008-10-27 16:25:26 EST
"I have never felt more secure with an insurance company. I know not everyone has had my level of satisfaction but this company is better than any other I have worked with." 2009-03-16 14:15:37 EST
"Tried contacting an agent several times with no response.Seems like they dont really care about the customer after the big merger.Little company trying to be a big company, not working!!!" 2009-03-19 14:53:09 EST
"I have been very satisfied with Thrivent. they have held strong ratings even in this difficult economic time" 2009-06-18 13:25:43 EST
"Thrivent used to have the absolute top ratings from the 4 major rating services. Now they have only 1 top rating, and one 3rd from the top, and because the other two rating companies lowered their ratings to an embarrassing point, Thrivent requested that they not be rated by those companies any longer. Now Thrivent only shows as being rated by two companies when everyone else is rated by all four. Smell something in the air?" 2009-09-09 11:10:26 EST |
