"Purchase Family Cancer Policy in 2000 for $67.16 a month with a payroll deduction of $31.00 biweekly, my age 52. I retired in August 2008, and was waiting for Family Heritage to contact me to make arrangements to make direct payments from my checking. In October 2008 they notified me that my policy had been cancelled. I called them and they said I could reinstate my policy and would send me paperwork. Paperwork indicated that with a reinstatment, my policy would have to be subject to a new payment as to my current age,61. $141.00 a month, same coverage/benefits as before. My age now 61. (Note that on my policy the coverage breakdown provided cash value which was added to the bi-weekly cost. Cost break down of the policy-Cancer Policy($16.27); Intensive Case Ride ($2.08); Cash Value ($12.65)every two weeks. So in 8 years I paid over $1200 to have cash value added to my policy. If I let policy cancel without reinstatement I will get a check next month for $1697.00 (25% of premiums paid for 8 years). It appears that because of my age and the cost I will not reinstate this policy. Had I been more aware of this, I would have started paying them the old premium prior to retireing."

"Quite possibly the best insurance company I have ever had to deal with. The people are friendly and knowledgeable and do anything they can to help you get all money owed to you based on the policy outline. They helped me through a very hard time and I will always remember that. Family definitely belongs in the name since they treat everyone like a member of their own."

"Hands down the best supplemental insurance company in America!!! They pay claims quickly and they direct deposit the money right into your account! Plus, if you never need the policy then you get all your money back!!!"

"We have a cancer policy with Family Heritage.
It seems as the policies are written to just fall under the limits of normal routine to pay many of the claims. Example pay mileage to and from doctors appointments and treatments. in small print if more than 60 miles away. How many people so sick with Cancer do not have a Cancer faciclity with 50 miles. And why is there a limit at all. My husband had to had blood transfussion. There is a specific line for that but for some reason they wouldn't pay that either. I could go on and on but don't have the time"
