"AETNA's strategy is to delay to wear you down. Because we are based overseas we have their top dollar international coverage. What a waste We've had thousands of dollars denied as AETNA insists that 60-90 minute Skpye conversations with our son's therapist are 5-10 minute phone calls to a doctor's office. We've appealed and appealed and AETNA denies and denies. The company policies were developed by cheats and the customer service people are idiots. If our organization didn't force us into a group insurance policy we'd have left AETNA in the dust long ago...."

"Swithced to AETNA HMO medicare suppliment company has denied so far 4 medications and self-testing INR for coumadin. Was with AARP and never a denial. "

"This company only knows the word 'denial' someone in the media needs to start investigating Aetna they are fine to collect your premiums for decades but the minute you get sick and need help for your healthcare bills they deny you over and over and over again something a sick person should not have to deal with. If you have a choice do NOT sign up with Aetna Google all the complaints be smart"

"Aetna changed my Medicare Part D plan WITHOUT prior notice. I found out when I went to pick up my scripts and was told that they did not cover until I met the 325.00 deductible. What I had signed up for was a tiered plan that had been costing 0 deductible. If I had known I would have changed Medicare Rx plans during the open time period. Why on earth would a person buy this high deductible plan with co-pays when for less than 2.00 a month more they could get a plan that is 0 deductible and 0 co-pay. And then of course when I called to complain their dispute department says they did mail out a notice. We all know how that story goes. So now I am STUCK with this crooked company until the next open enrollment period. I suggest that NO ONE sign up for ANY Aetna policy. They are more greedy and fraudulent than any other insurance company."

"After hours of trying to submit an EOI to their liking and suffering through condescending letters attitude and contradictory instructions in the their correspondence they ultimately denied my supplemental group life policy because I have arthritis. The FAA grants me a medical to fly airplanes but apparently I might die because of mild stiffness. "
