"united American provides me with secondary insurane to Medicare. I started off payin just over $100 a month, which was reasonable. Now, they jacked my premium up to over $300 a month! Most months I don't have an occasion to even make a claim. I have to find a more affordable policy even though UA has been prompt about paying claims that I have made."

"United American insurance is great. I have had visits to the doctors and they paid what they said they would pay. My out of pocket is only $15 whenever I visit my doctor. I just recently signed up with UA partners plus and had my yearly exam, completely free. I didn't have to pay a dime. My deductable is only $500 but only if I get admitted to the hospital or if I have to have outpatient surgery. I recommend this insurance to my family and friends. My children's wellness visits are free till age 16. I had to take my two sons, one is 10 and the other one is 8, for their school physical and I paid $0. United American paid all of it. Thank you UA for helping me and my family afford health insurance. I highly recommend it. Oh, and btw, my agent is always helpful and friendly."

"Beware. They do not pay claims. I had blood work done and they would not pay the paltry $160 benefit amount because "Your policy provides a maximum Diagnostic Benefit of $160.00 for the treatment of any one condition." Their reasoning was that they had paid for blood work in 2006 for my thyroid condition, so they never had to pay it again! This company is unethical and should be ashamed of themselves!"

"I was very up set with how things got handled after they had my direct deposit set up. I switched banks and tried getting ahold of my agent several times over a course of 3 months to get the billing info changed so it didn't over draft my account. He didn't return a single phone call. Then i sent in 2 forms to have someone from the head office call me back to get it changed and both were left unanswered."
