"Utterly disgraceful! EVERY claim EVER submitted to them (including general trips to my local in network doctor) has been rejected - even after calling Unicare in advance to confirm coverage! Forget just healthcare, this is the worst company of ANY industry I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. "

"You can never speak to an agent, only some foreigner in claims, they have screwed up every claim that I have had for my family in the past year and have tried to tell me that they have paid $3,810,145.70 in claims for me personally even though all I have ever had done medically is have an appendectomy on an outpatient basis this spring. If I could, I would drop them today, but my son has developed an ongoing condition that prevents me from finding another insurance co. UniCare is bad for your health!!!!!"

"Customer service calls go to ESL call centers in foreign countries - they can't understand me and I can't understand them. I have questions about items in the plan documents and all they can do is read me the document - they can't answer ANY question. Demand to talk to an American whenever calling! Otherwise, fairly decent as far as insurance companies go. I've never had a problem with claims. EXCEPT for the fact that if you go to the ER and don't get admitted you have to pay the entire bill minus the 'insurance discount'."
