"I was with one company for 30+ years and they were fine but i was very concerned that if i very did have a big claim, they wouldnt honor the policy or nickel/dime me. So i went with a firm, which has a pretty sterling reputation doing the right thing. It cost me more and i understand that, but i can sleep at night now. "

"I had Chubb homeowners insurance for 7 years,had 2 claims in the last 3 years and I get a notice that they are not renewing my policy, no warning, no communication, the last claim was filed wrong, under the wrong category and that is why they are not renewing my policy. Nobody ever bother to come in and look or even call and ask questions. We called them and they were horrible on the phone no one to talk to. Buyer beware!"

We have had to take them to court and are still fighting after 6 years
Chubbs policy is just not to pay commercial insurance claims but to force you to court
Thgis is their method of file managment when claims are concerned . "

"Although Chubb is generally more expensive than other insurance companies, I found that when I needed them the most, during a time I suffered a loss, the provided claims service that was second to none. Their claims adjuster was extremely understanding, responsive and certainly made good on their promise to cover my financial loss. "

"There is no contact . If you have a problem count on a long search to find help , Yes the big run around . Dropped prescription carrier without notice , Then and still now can't get prescription paid for . I pay out of my pocket on something they should cover . I should not have to worry about these things . After all I am insured . RIGHT??????!!!!"

"Our Chubb policy is through an insurance broker. I have been satisified up until now. We are up for renewal. No surprise, in 2009 our home is worth less than when our policy was written in 2003. I understand the value Chubb placed on our house is for the cost of rebuilding. I find it hard to believe the cost of rebuilding my house is 20% higher than the curent market value of my home. Chubb isn't budging on their number saying the cost of building materials and labor hasn't gone down. I am shopping around to see what else is out there."

"Chubb is my employer's worker' comp carrier. They paid 8 weeks and then stopped payment because a doctor's report was late. Once they received the report the examiner went on vacation and didn't cut the check. It's been 5 weeks since I've gotten paid. Why not penalize the doctor for the late report instead of the claimiant? I'm already injured. No prescription cards for medication until after 3 months. I couldn't afford to pay for the medication so I had to function in pain for three months and now that I got the prescription card, they cutoff my benefits for a late medical report which, by the way, was submitted but the examiner is out of the office and no one can cover him while he is out.
I guess after winning the lottery no one is competent anymore......."

"Claims are run by contractors estimaters. Not responsive, poor quality, inconsistent, orientated toward settling low or sue mentality. Wear you down with time and non-responsiveness to needs. Claims agent promised certain things when at residence to review claim. Contractors changed the scope to much les, and the policyholder is caught in the middle. "
