"They talked us into adding car insurance with them to get a 20% discount on our homeowners policy which we enjoyed for about 4 months. Then when our homeowners policy came up for renewal the next year our rates went up 20% !!! So no discount at all. Very tricky if you ask me. The only claims we had with them were for towing and those were always paid promptly. "

"House was wiped out in wind and hail storm. Fought mutiple adjustors the whole way. Should have been back in our house within 3 months, took 7 to complete everything. 4 of those months were spent fighting over amounts with adjustors. Every aspect of the claim process for the home was unsatisfying. As soon as the claim would start to progress, they would switch adjustors and the whole process would start over. They just try to wear you down until you give up. Just recently they tried to cheat us out of our depreciation stating they overpaid us. The claim just closed almost exactly a year later. I think this may happen with many insurance companies when corporate gets involed when a storm is declared a catastrophe, but we had no support from our local agent who mainly sided with corporate. Our claim was over $100,000 and we have not heard from him in almost a year. Thanks Stallstate. We switched companies."
