"Paid 75000 in premiums over 28 years. Had to file one claim due to lightning strike. Took almost three years to recover 30 percent of damage. UNBELIVEABLE"

"I went with Farm Bureau for my home and auto about 3 years ago because of their fair premiums. Well I've just received my auto insurance renewal and it's gone up a whopping 23% in one year. I've never filed a claim have a very high credit score and a perfect driving record. When I spoke with them to find out why there was an increase they started spouting off some mess about insurance rating changes etc. One girl even tried to tell me that my 2013 Honda had actually INCREASED in value over the last year so it was worth more now than when I bought it NEW a year ago. WTF??? Seriously? Don't bother with these folks...go straight to your independent insurance agency and gather quotes. STay away from Farm Bureau"

"Farm Bureau is the best insurance company I have ever been with. Their coverage price is unbeatable their service has a personal touch that no other companies seem to have. I would highly recommend switching to Farm Bureau as soon as you can"

"After my claim was paid for less than the actual repairs my agent told me to complain to the manager and I would get more money. Not only did I get more money but I got enough to remodel. If all claims are paid this way then that would explain why premiums are so high. I was shocked that my agent said that complaining always gets more money and that it is done all the time. Clearly no integrity. "

"I filed a claim that was rejected because the circumstances fell under an exclusion. Even though they did pay on the claim. they wanted to drop my vehicle. That was real salt to the wound of not paying the claim.Thanks for nothing Farm Bureau"

"We have 4 cars our home insured with GA Farm Bureau. Have never filed an auto claim and have only filed 1 claim on our home that was 5 years ago. Our home owners insurance rates keep rising each year. We live 1/4 mile from a fire station we have a security system. Our rates have almost tripled in the last 3 years. I think Farm Bureau is a very expensive insurance co. and am looking for another co. I have been with them for 20 years but you sure don't get a good customer discount."

"We bought our home in 2008 and insured with Farm Bureau. I would like to note We have never filed an automobile or home insurance claim. Every year between 2008 and 2013 our rates were increased by several hundred dollars. Several months back- we were sent a letter stating we would not be renewed. No reason. Our home is a brick home that is immaculate. New roof new heating new a/c... Very nice home and we take pride in taking care of it. We paid our premiums faithfully even when they raised our rates every year. We even paid their ridiculous membership fee every year. Sent as an extra bill. Now after Farm Bureau has not renewed it appears we cannot secure other reasonable insurance elsewhere. Our lender is stating that they will be securing our insurance for our home. I have checked numerous insurance companies and the premiums are outrageous Since our monthly mortgage payment is tied in with our insurance premium escrow account we are now looking at the possibility of another huge increase in our house payment. This is a tragedy and should be illegal since we appear to have no options. I am certain that our credit is what is affecting our lack of securing insurance but since we have only had minor issues I am amazed this is happening. This was not what we expected when we bought our home in 2008. Due to insurance premiums our house payment has increased by 300 a month since 2008. I am beginning to wonder if we will be able to keep our home. We cannot afford to pay the increase in house payments we are obviously looking at in the future... ALL insurance companies are crooks."

"I am with Texas Farm Bureau. I just received my 6mo. auto renewal policy. It went up By a LOT Enclosed in the policy is a credit rating/information sheet. They are now using credit scores to determine your auto policy premium. so get this.....I haven't opened any accounts in last 24months. Yup that's right. I pay cash for just about everything. I have NO CREDIT CARDS WHATSOEVER...but I am punished for paying cash. I only owe monthly payments on my house that's it folks. So now I pay higher car insurance since Texas Farm Bureau wants to use credit reports. WTF?? Are you kidding me? I guess I need to get a gas card or something. Maybe a Dillards card? Absolutely wrong. And we have NOT filed a claim in 9 years I'm done with Texas Farm Bureau. "

"i had a claim of my car being hit in parking lot where I work. i have yet to get my deductible back and I have been with Farm Bureau since 1984. I also found out by searching for other insurance that I was listed as the driver in the accident. THE VEHICLE WAS UNOCCUPIED This is FRADULENT information Please Beware"

"You pay a fee or dues in order to obtain insurance with the company - had to file claim because of march tornado 1st claim i have had. Ive had this insurance several years Now I have rec'd a letter saying my insurance will go up because of the tornado other insureds who did not file a claim will have a decrease in premium This sentence is from the letter I received "While the weather can't be controlled proactive property maintenance can reduce the damage caused by storm related events." More or less blaming me for the loss that occured to my home during the TORNADO"

"They showed very poor handling of claims during a major auto accident not my fault. The at-fault insurance company gave me a better price for the totaled car. I could not get hold of my agent and the persons I spoke with were less than helpful. I had never been in a major accident involving bodily injury and FB was not forthcoming with paperwork needed to file medical claims. I finally just went through my health insurance at work and let them duke it out with the other insurance companies."

"We have been with FB for over 20 years. During this time we had a couple of minor claims with positive results. However since late September 2012 we have lived a nightmare. They cancelled and reinstated us twice in 5 months. Once they sent a cancelation 'request' form for us to sign..thankfully I had enough sense to refuse. I consider their recent actions in our circumstance to be criminal unethical at best. Consumers beware"

"Paid on a Life Insurance policy for 30 YEARS and because their archaic online payment system would constantly block the payment button for 2 months out of the quarter and say it was paid up it eventually used up any equity and took the policy past grace and CANCELED it Previously had moved out-of-state so would have to call agent quarterly for almost 17 years to pay by credit card since Farm Bureau didn't have online payment. Finally they caught up with the times but the system is basic at best and would not let you pay any extra to cover rising age costs and would glitch and not let you make a regular payment. Had to frequently log in to see if the pay button was open or still saying paid up. Agent says because policy was so old that he didn't get grace notifications on it to make courtesy calls. He and their Customer Service said that even though it was only 2 weeks out and even though having paid it consistently for 30 YEARS and having tried over over to pay in their glitched system they said the man who is obviously old now would have to reapply with health questions etc and go to the underwriters to "possibly" be reinstated. Like that's going to happen It is THEIR FAULT but we're the ones being punished and losing out. Stay away from this company "

"Mother filed a claim for hail damage to her roof and siding. Assigned adjuster arrived at the scheduled time. The company paid the adjusters amount in a reasonable time. When the work was done the cost exceeded the allowed amount and the roofer found some errors in the first adjustment and submitted a requested adjustment based on his actual costs. The adjuster made the requested corrections and additions for multiple layers of shingles that had to be removed which could not be seen on the original estimate the insurance company sent a supplemental check. We were happy with the way the claim was handled and the amount paid."

"Local office is very non-responsive and not overly accomodating. Rates are very non-competitive and increase drastically each year.Company will not except electronic payments or consider they may be at fault for not processing payment in time even with proof of early payment. Will cancel you immediately for non-payment even if their fault."

"I bought my home in dec 2010. My first problem is that they wanted to raise my rates because my ins pymt is made by my bank through my escrow account.If i paid them directly with not more than two pymts my rates would not change.FHA requires me to have an escrow acct. Dec. 3 2012 i just received a cancelation notice without any stated reason. Dec 4 I called and was told that the reason is that i have four horses. hmm..I bought a 13plus acre farm for my horses. The same horses i had when i bought my farm. When did farm bureau decide we shouldnt have horses on a farm?"

"I filed a claim with Texas Farm Bureau. The accident fault was very clear on the policy report but the company told me that the policy report was not correct and refused to take any responsibility. I plan to appeal to Texas Insurance Company Commission and take them to small claim court."

"Farmn Bureeau is a great insurance company as long as you do not have to file a claim.They also use second-rate insurance companies like Foremost for rental properties that will not provide adequate coverages or pay out if something goes wrong. Pay the extra money and get a first rate insurance company. dont do what i did and use Farm Bureau and Foremost and be sorry later "

"Farm Bureau hired Exam One to conduct a blood exam for life insurance. As a result I acquire an infection. On my way back from the hospital to be checked for the infection I passed out driving and got in a car accident. Farm refused to assume responsibility and help us with our financial cost due to this incident and left us to deal with this situation on our own."

"Very unsatisfied I feel I do my end of the deal pay my insurance and when something comes up a small claim it is such a hassle and I always have to call repeatedly to try to get things taken care of.... one employee will tell you one thing and then you are told another.... Very UNSATISFIED"

"All the years I have had homeowners filed 2 small claims. They were going to cancel my policy in Jan. due to a snafu with the mortgage co. but got it remedied. Now they are going to cancel me definately for some unknown reason and all the agent over the local office has done is lie and blame the mortgage company even telling me that the mortgage co. has filed a claim on the house how can they it is my policy and that they are going to foreclose why everything is paid never even been late. I already have in place new car and homeowners so they can cancel all they like they will never hear nothing but negative things from me and I will never be back. "

"I have had my insurance with Farm Bureau for over 26 years. They are in the process of changing their discount benefits because of the companys losses. Some examples are the number of years with the company homeowners policy and auto policy and doing credit score checks. My auto policy went up over 155 ever 6 months. "

"After a lady backed into me while I was sitting in my car she left the scene. I got her plate number and called police who said damage was consistent with contact from her vehicle. Adjuster from out of state did his own version on measurements while the two vehicles were 32 miles apart and then..drum roll... denied the claim. Never again will I give Farm Bureau Insurance one red cent Take this as a warning They will have to pay some day when they meet their Maker"

"We have had Farm Bureau coverage for years. We stuck with them because of their willingness to honor their liability when an incident occured. Boy have things changed First we had to beg for someone to contact us regarding our daughters car hail damage and never did get full coverage. Now our home owners policty jumped TWO HUNDRED and ONE dollar in ONE year I am irate They claim SC law requires them to value my home at 289000 when we would be lucky to get much over 200000 in the economy They claim the only reason it went up is inflation adjustment. Odd that they say the value has increased when the realty value says a decrease I will be glad to sell it to them for the price they say Definitely seeking a different company."

"First time to file a water damage claim. Company denied coverage -finding every loop hole possible. Company is good about collecting a membership fee plus premiums but does not comply with what they preach when it comes to honoring a claim. We are totally disgusted with this company. Our insurance agent has been great."

"In Nov. 2011 I renewed my policy with Farm Bureau which I had for 13 years. After renewal I was informed that my policy would be cancelled in Jan 2012 if I didnt have my auto policy with them. I never had a claim and this appeared as extortion so I cancelled my policy. Nearly a month later I am still waiting for my check. Also got a new policy at Nationwide at a much cheaper rate and no membership dues are required."

"My teenage son bought a car. We put Liability Only insurance on it. FB place my son on our full coverage vehicle wifes car and removed my wife off her car. They said our son had to be on a full coverage vehicle. He never drives my wifes car. He drives his car. I have checked with other companies and they cant believe FB does this. We will be switching insurance companies this week."

"Reported lies to Lexis Nexis about false claims against home and car. Cancelled my homeowners the first time I had ever filed a claiml. Gave me 15 days to find other insurance with an open claim. No other ins company will take you on with an open claim so I had to settle for what they gave me. I had replacement cost but they took a percentage off of every item and those labeled big ticket items including an iron there was no reimbursement for until I showed them I had purchaced a new one. The agent then asked if I was not going to by a new living room suite I told him no I do not feel like shopping when my home sits without insurance. They got over on me."

"It wasnt paying the claim that was the problem. When speaking with the office staff they are not good at providing correct answers to your questions which in turn causes an over charge in your premium. They are also very rude. "

"There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at this company. Every phone call is met with a voice mail recording and no one ever returns my messages. I am canceling my policy half way through this year policy because of a rude letter from Farm Bureau which I can get no one on the phone to discuss. Take your money where it will be appreciated. "

"I have 10 rental homes that Farm Bureau has covered for over 10 years. Seems this year Farm Bureau is going around and inspecting all the homes they insure. If they dont like what they see they are demanding that you make repairs or you will be canceled. Things like painting new roof new gutters cracked walls. Since when can an insurance agent tell you when it is time to paint or repair Also they are re assessing the value and raising the premiums to cover what they want to insure the house for. Not for what you want to insure the house for. In one case the home is only worth 50k but they want to insure it for 180k saying that is what it would cost to build that home today. I have always insured the homes for the mortgage or their value. Now Farm Bureau is saying I must insure them for what they want to insure them for. I guess they are trying to make up for all the money they had to pay out on Catrina and other disasters. Good luck. I am now changing Insurance companies after 10 years with Farm Bureau with no claims."

"During the hurricane season of 2004 and 2005 my home and property sustained a lot of damage. The insurance appraiser came out did an appraisal on the damage and told me that if anything else came to my attention to call and let them know that just because the appraser did his work that did not mean it was written in stone. A week later we discovered more damage that needed their attention and they sent someone out immediately. Once I filed my claim I had a check within a week. I have NO complaints at all with the Farm Bureau. Handled everything completely professional and with a little sympathy towards are situation. Seemed to be very caring. I so appreciated how they handled our claim as I had enough to worry about without an insurance company bulking at having to pay out a claim. I think they are a wonderful company to deal with."

"I have had major storm damage to my roof in the last two years. Every neighbor I have received a new roof last year but not me. They wanted to give me 500 my deductible is 1000 to replace it Now two more storms later I now have water coming into my bedroom. I have two claims pending and still no adjuster after two weeks.This has got to be the worst insurance company out there. If I am not satisfied with the outcome this year I will be contacting an lawyer as well as every local television station in town. "

"I had a message on my answering machine at home last week from my lcoal KYFB office to call them about our automobile policies. I thought to myself oh great they have raised the rates on everything else including my truck this year so I guess they are going to raise the rates more...Nope even more fun. They want to take all of our vehicle policies and put them into one big policy where all of our vehicles are billed together. That might be ok for a typical husband/housewife scenario but my wife and i have EVERYTHING seperate. So having our vehicles slammed together and billed together is just another big PITA. After all the rate hikes already this is pretty much the straw that broke the camels back. Im ready for a company that is more customer focused...Not to mention when we had storm damage on our roof that was new when we bought the house 30 year shingles that were 5 years old they told us the roof was too old to replace and I had to work with the agent and the claims rep to get them to finally cover it after I had a roofer right a statement about the age of the roof. I should have left then.They tried raising my rates one other time and I got quotes from State Farm and they fixed my rates back for me but enough is enough. Awfully odd how you can give a company decades of business and they can have such a lack of customer focus. They have been taking my policies for granted too long. Time to move to another company."

"In my case I had a b&e on my barn and had a $16500.00 loss and they found loop hole after loop hole and have offered me 1000.00 ,I also have a 1000.00 deductable .when I purchased my policy I told them I was a retired auto mecanic and I raced stock cars .I told them I had alot of tools and equipment and they told me that I had over 100,000.00 contents coverage on my barn and that would take care of it .now they tell me that b/c they were suposidly used in a buisness before that they are no longer elegable for insurance .BEWARE OF FARM BUREAU when you by insurance if its needed it should pay off .If thats what you want go to State farm .they treated me good but farm bureau gave me a better quote .my live and learn mistake !"

"Once I filed a claim (the only claim with any company for over 11 years), the personnel became almost caustic in answering even general questions I had. They have been very unprofessional & sometimes down right rude. They have non-renewed me & the claim is still open. Insurance companies do not offer insurance while claims are still open, and FB is telling me that they may not close the claim until after my policy expires. This will force me to settle before I can get full replacement cost. These are dirty and low down tactics"

"Have been with Iowa Farm Bureau over three years and was happy. My combined rates for car and house were well planned. April is renewal and they raised my rates over 50% with no explanation. They changed from caring about Farmers to caring about money."

"The agent lied to me out right when he told me I have full coverage when in fact I only had liability. He said he would take care of everything he never did. They had the nerve to take a payment out of my account after my vehicle was totaled. I would never recommend this company. They are a rip off."

"i am a builder / remodeler and lately the insurance companies tell policy holders that they will only pay to pull and plug your damage roof. instead what should be doing is tearing off and re-roofing that is what you pay for to be made whole and not de-value your property. when insurance cmpanies send out their perfered contractor the contractor rolls over on you and tells you thats how it is, i say dump that contractor and hire one that will works for you. when in fact you hire the contractor not the insurance company . PS no pro-rate of old shingles either "

"I had filed a emergency claim with Farm Bureau and nothing was even done with it for four days which is against the law. I was in a desperate time of need and I pay FB to be there in just such case of emergency and no one was to be found. I had questions and no one not even my agent would call me back and when he did he had no answers to any of my questions. I even called corporate and they had no idea what I was talking about and treated me like i was stupid. They didnt even send a adjuster to verify my claim just denied it. They claimed to deny the claim 5 days after I filed it but it took them One month to offically in writting deny the claim. Which left me with no furnace in -2 degree weather for a month."

"The funny thing with any insurance company is the thing that matters most is who your agent is. If you have an agent who cares then you will have a good experience with your company, because they will do what they can to get your claim through, to answer all the questions you might have. I love my agent, thus I love my company."

"I had water damage to my bathroom, it took the adjuster 2 weeks to come out to look at it, she then tried to tell me that I had certain coverage with a deductible which was incorrect, she was not friendly or educated in regards to insurance, nor did she know what coverages i had, i doubt she was even licensed which makes it that much worse. On top of that, they would not offer my boyfriend and I a multi car discount even though we live in the same house. I never once heard from my "actual" agent at renewal or when I had the claim. As an insurance agent myself, I am very unsatisfied. "

"When agent is called,he assures that he willk return a phonecall the next day with the imformation that was needed. It took this agent 4 days to return my phonecall. Definitely not satisfied with his answers to my questions."

"Have had my homeowners insurance with TN FB for 16 yrs. Had water damage from the toilet and water running in my floor for several hours in May. Today is Nov. 1 and it has gone from bad to worse. Instead of an adjuster I got a water restoration company 7 days later and they did not dry my house correctly and Mold grew not only that the adjuster came out after I contacted his supervisor Yelled at me told me I did not have mold and sent another company out to prove it. They found the mold which is still not cleaned up and if that is not enough I have three different kinds of mold in my upper resiratory system. Wonder who is going to pay these medical bills."

"they are not competitive with price and agents insist life insurance.they are also very intrusive in gathering "needed" information. I think they could do better job with allowing the customer to have some control as it is always someone else making the decisions for them. my agent is great but the company is for lack of better words-used car salesmen. "A pipe is leaking in the ceiling from upstairs down into the kitchen, the adjuster came to my home and recommended a plumber that charged me 240.00 dollars and told the adjuster that it is a maintenance issue because of a 1/4 inch grout and a 1/2 inch missing in the master bath shower. I called my agent, he recommed a new plumber that found the leak and said that I would have to wait for the insurance to aprove of stopping the leak.(claims date Aug 29th still waiting sept 14th and the water is still poring into the kitchen.No calls, No emails. I am livid"

"I will never trust my home or auto with them.. You pay a $35 membership fee on top of your insurance coverage! Then these twit of an under writer dropped our home insurance because we did not get her the pictures of our yard to her quick enough!!! OMG.... I had to call her boss who came and took the pictures (basically did her job) and reinstated it! Now they want me to sign a piece of paper saucing they will take out our insurance payment automatically from my acct. Like I did something wrong. Not only am I looking for a different insurance company but reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau!!!!! "

"I needed a windshield replaced in KY and I was given the run around by KY Farm Burea and my agent because I wanted to use a shop I was comfortable with. I felt they where going to get rewarded if I went with the company they suggested. What was in it for them? Kick backs?"

"I had two claims in one year. One was weather related and widespread and the other was a break-in. Farm Bureau did pay on both but are not renewing my policy because of frequent claims submission. I have paid premiums to them for over 15 years and never had a claim until last year. Now I am stuck out in the cold looking for other coverage. Additionally to have their insurance you have to pay an annual membership fee. Failure to pay that will also result in cancellation of coverage. Take my advice and shop around before choosing this company. They are only there when you DONT need them."

"I totaled out a truck 4-5 years ago and they paid me about the same I paid for it even though I drove the truck 2 years before I wrecked it. Also prompt on getting adjuster out and paid on the spot for the claims."

"Insurance agents know me by name and are always friendly. Help explain EVERYTHING. My boyfriend got into an accident with my brand new Dodge Journey on 4th of july and got my claim check within two weeks. It took a little while to get the car fixed because there were some more problems but they hooked me up with a rental on the monday following the 4th. Only complaint is that the premiums were really high. Would recommend to anyone. GREAT SERVICE but expensive!!!"

"Communication on a local level is virtually non existent probably because no one particular agent is assigned. I did have a windshield claim which they paid out on but it took a long time, over two months and several phone calls, for my costs to be paid. Also the left hand does not seem to know what the right hand is doing when it comes to billing and administrive work. "

"We had bought a house in cute, water-front community and had lived there for nearly two years. Then we had heavy rain for 3 days. After the rain, I was shocked to find that the brick in the back of our house was cracked, the patio had sunk down and cracked on one edge, and the brick storage area had totally fallen off in a heap of rubble in the back yard. We also saw cracks develop in our sheet rock. I called the agent to see if we were covered. He said that we were not covered, and in fact, they cancelled our policy. Not nice!"

"It's one of the most frustrating experience I've had with an insurance agency. Told me I was dropped from my insurance when called to tell them about my house being broken into. Never knew I did not have homeowners insurance for about a month...neither did my mortgage provider. These guys are sleezy crooks and very dis-respectful. Not only was I robbed of my personal belongings and dealing with that trauma...I am having to deal with these crooks who are "supposed" to be there for me and helping me."

"I use to work with home loans, therefore, I knew that mobile homes were not insured like homes were. When I asked my FB agent if the mobile home policy would cover the same things as my personal residence policy would, I was told yes. We had a water problem with the mobile home. We called on Monday morning (the problem happened the day after Christmas, which was a Friday so we had to wait until Monday to call claims) and gave them all our info. They said they would call within 24-48 hours. However, our agent told us not to do anything to the home until we heard something from claims. (Pretty much, leave a foot of water in your home until they call you) Wednesday morning we called back because we had not heard anything and they had lost all of our info. We had to give all info again and they were very rude to us. If we tried calling our home office they would just say that they couldn't help us. Come to find out, our policy did not cover water. I asked why the policy was not explained better and the agent told us that their home office does not allow them to go over policies in detail. Pretty much tells me that they have something to hide. We have been with them for over 10 years and was satisfied with them until we needed to file a claim (and this has been my very first claim). When we needed them the most they were not there for us. Very unhappy."

"Farm Bureau has always been very helpful and efficient with my questions. They provide good customer service and a personal touch which you don't get from other agencies. My Farm Bureau agent will sit down and talk with me in person and not just over the phone or by mail. I also know they are very competitive with their prices. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a good value in an insurance company!"

"When I accidentally missed the date to pay a premium they immediately reported me to the state (no grace period there) and I had to pay a fine for the couple of days I was “uninsured”. Not fun but fair enough. My mistake. When I had my first major accident ever they wanted me to rush to settle saying my vehicle was totaled. They wanted to say the present market value was “partially” based upon results from a service that checks the internet for the lowest price offered for a similar vehicle but with 30% to 80% more miles. "

"Every state runs its own Farm Bureau Insurance company (I know this because we've moved to other states and changed companies). I can't speak for the other states, but Texas Farm Bureau Insurance is hard to beat. Very good rates, very competent agents and fast claims service. I have no reason to change - or even look around!"

"I had several shingles that were tore off from a storm recently. The entire roof needed to be replaced for the shingles to match. I was paid to replace just the shingles that were missing and told a website where I could order ones to match mine. I asked for them to refer me to someone who would fix my roof for the amount they were giving me...of course no one would fix it for the amount I was given. This has kind of scared me off..."

Then when I called to report shingle damage after Huricaine Dolly, they told me all my policies had been cancelled three months ago. "I applied for auto insurance and thought I had coverage. They had sent me something in the mail that they could not insure me, but I had my house with them and was suppose to have coverage when I left their office that day. I was riding around with no insurance because they could not pick up the phone and call me or send me a certified letter that required my signature that I had received it. I don’t check my mail often because I do everything electronically. Thanks to all the JUNK MAIL I have not requested through the postal service. There should be a law if you can’t insure someone to send a certified letter and a common phone call wouldn’t hut."

"I have my auto insurance billed monthly. Last year, for about three months, the bill went up $20 or so mysteriously. The agent said it was a "small" increase. $20 on $55 or so is not a small increase. But then it went back down. Now that it's time to renew my house insurance, apparently this mysterious man came and looked at my garage and decided the roof was too curled for Farm Bureau to insure. The garage is less than 10 years old, and there are certainly no leaks. It is the best garage on my block. I don't really like dealing with my agent, but it's mostly that he's tucked behind a car wash in an unpleasant part of town to drive to..."

"I called the compay a few weeks ago to ask a question about my policy. Today I got a call from a lady who said that the underwriter listented to my phone call and she scolded me and told me that if I took someone to court I would be abusing my policy. "I filed a claim and rec'd compensation for a new roof. When I told my ins agent that I didn't think the work was done right she said she would have the adjuster come back out and look. Three weeks later she asked why I hadn't pd the roofing co and I said I was waiting for the adjuster. She got upset with me and said she wasn't sending out an adjuster. Come to find out she was getting a cut from the roofing co. I then received word that the ins co was going to drop me at the end of the contracts...the reason "she told them we had differences". You better believe we did at that point. I dropped them immediately."

"We have had F.B.Homeowners Ins for 7 years on our brand new home, thinking that they were fair in pricing and that we live so far out in the country we used them NOW we find that our coverage is FAR from ample coverage at double the cost of NUMEROUS other companies. We started paying $985.per year and with no claims have been raised to $1,485. yrly. We have recently contacted other very well known companies throughout the country and have been quoted substantially more coverage for almost 1/2 the cost of F.B. Ins. It really bothers me that they could do this when they claim to be for the Country Folk like us!I intend to notify everyone I know on this issue of PRICE vs. coverage!"

"Paid a hail damage claim on auto nice and fast, no issues. Big problem when a young man rear ended my car 14 months ago and injured my back. Our state is no-fault so Farm Bureau had to pay the claim. Stopped paying all medical bills after 4 months. Their routine goes like this. They have you examined by a physician they hire. He of course says "I'll be fine, no damage at all!". My Neurologist and MRI's say different. I am forced to hire an attorney and pay all expenses out of pocket for the last 9 months. None of this was my fault."

"i was involved in a collision that after all investigations i was found not at fault and not only did i lose my truck, and i was out over five thousand dollars but i still have no truck and a lein that i'm paying on at the local bank. "We had a theft claim in 1995,a large water loss in 2000, both times the Farm Bureau adjuster was quick to respond and prompt with payment. We have had 2 small auto accidents, again, easy to deal with. I think the service you recieve during a claim has to do with the local adjuster more than anything. After 20 years with them, I can't imagine changing."

"I filed my first claim with Farm Bureau, after over 20 years as a customer. The first adjuster that came to my house after a hail storm said they would replace the shingles and all of the siding on my house. Three weeks later I received a check for the first half repairs and contacted Farm Bureau because the check was too small. I was connected with another adjuster that said they would only reside the entire house if they couldn't match the siding and that they would need a sample of the current siding. Three weeks after I arranged to deliver a sample to them a report without explanation arrived in my mail indicating that they found a match. I got a sample fo their supposed match and found it was significantly darker than the existing siding. The adjusters response was that they didn't need to match the actual color just the original color. The adjuster was unmoved when I pointed out that they were proposing to patch the middle of a large wall and the repair would be very obvious. We argued back and forth for several weeks and finally agreed to just replace the two damaged walls. I just hope that when the bills come in they actually pay them."

"Attempts by me AND by my bank to contact the local office were unsuccessful a majority of the time - nobody answered the phones on the main number, the agent's extension, or the admin number. And that was just to get an adjustment on my paperwork (change payee name to my bank's name instead of me). It doesn't bode well for actually having to file a claim. The insurance may be good (though I don't know, having never filed a claim), but the customer service really stinks. (Utah)"

"Our first and only claim that we filed with the company in about 15 years of paying insurance with them. Lost all our claims paperwork and we had to get it all together again and carry it to them. We still have not received a check for damages that we reported over a month ago. They don't communicate well at all. I don't recommend there services."
