WHO ARE THEY?
Esurance.com is an online insurance vendor who advertises that not only can you get your auto insurance quote in minutes, but they will save you hundreds of dollars on your premium. They are “committed to taking the hassle out of shopping for insurance”.
EASY TO USE:
Esurance.com’s home page is welcoming and easy to navigate. First time shoppers are directed to enter their zip code, and they’re off to the land of saving time and money.
SAVES YOU TIME & MONEY:
I was asked some basic questions about my vehicle, accidents, tickets, and coverage. It took 9 minutes to get a quote for my husband and me for 6 months of insurance on our two cars. And the quotes? Not bad. I pay $750 for 6 months of coverage with AAA. The quote I got was for $657 for the same coverage. It’s not “hundreds” but a $93 savings is nothing to sneeze at. Personally, it’s not worth the hassle to change from a company I’ve been with for twenty years, but saving $186 a year is certainly a sizable savings. Their rate comparisons showed a much more substantial savings over such companies as State Farm, Allstate and Farmers. There are no comparisons with other online insurance companies over which the savings may not be as great.
QUALITY OF SERVICE/A.M. BEST INSURANCE RATING:
What about service? After all, that is why we buy insurance. Esurance offers E-Star claims service. When your car is damaged in an accident, you may go to a body shop of your choice. If, however, you choose a shop they recommend, the repairs will be guaranteed for as long as you own the vehicle. They get an 'A-' rating for service from A.M. Best, a worldwide insurance-rating and information agency. That typically means that their service is top notch.
OTHER COOL FEATURES:
Another useful and pretty cool feature on their website is their glossary of auto insurance terms. If you have no idea what a declarations sheet is, or what is meant by indemnity in the policy, it is all very simply explained. There is also a FAQs page for frequently asked questions to answer just about any query you can think of . It’s extremely easy to make changes to your policy online and just print out the new coverages.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
All in all, Esurance.com is quick and easy to use, provides very good service and will, indeed, save you some money.
