How long does it take for a stolen car claim to be procesed   been waiting for about 5weeks and havent talked with the adjuster since day one. should i wait or seek attoerny?

If your car is stolen, the insurance company usually waits for 30 days before proceeding with the processing of the claim, in case the vehicle is recovered.  The adjuster should have advised you of this "waiting period" when they originally spoke with you when you filed the claim.

If it has been 5 weeks, you should contact the adjuster again and ask that they finalize the processing of the claim on your car. If you cannot reach the adjuster, ask to speak to a supervisor to get the claim moving forward.

The insurance company will determine the actual cash value of the car and then make an offer, less your comprehensive deductible.  The insurance company will want the title to the car to complete the claim.  If you owe money on the car, the lender will be paid the value of the car.  If you receive more than the loan on the car, you will get the difference.
