Auto Insurance Question from Broomfield, Colorado
Answer given on October 28, 2011
They may see the second ticket. It all depends on when your renewal date of your insurance policy takes place. If the underwriter upon renewal of your auto policy checks your motor vehicle report (MVR), they will see it. It all depends on the underwriting criteria for their renewal business, how long you have been with them as to how far they will check upon renewal. Three tickets in one year is alot and you may get a non renew letter upon renewal. Or, your rates could go up. What's done is done. Even if you went to another insurance company, they will definitely pull your MVR. Most insurance companies do about a three year look back on the MVR so it would be about three years before these tickets are not counted. In the meantime, do you best to slow down! If you find yourself needing more insurance, shop around. Use our free advice quote center to get a comparison quotes for auto insurance if you are non renewed.
