"We took out a works comp policy with this company in 2017. In 2018 we were sent a bill notice asking for an additional 142 on top of the 334 we had already paid. So we paid it. A few months later we received a refund check for over payment for the policy for the exact same amount. On 2419 we receive our billing notice for 334 which was due 4819 so it was put into Aprils Bill pay file. The First part of March we receive a cancellation notice in the mail and I contact the sub-contractor insurance provider who said Unfortunately I dont have much information on when EMC sends invoices. I do know they always send a letter stating your policy will cancel if they renew payment is not received in time.. Well I did not get a WILL cancel notice I got a Cancellation Notice. Next we receive a notice mailed on 31819 stating our bill is now 936. What the hell Mind you its still March and not April yetAnd we receive a notice from the state of WI stating we did not pay our policy which is not due for another month. We did not pay the policy in March Mr. State of WI as the policy was not due until April so I had to fill out a ton of other paper work from the state stating yes we were still in business and will be obtaining works comp insurance. Next we received another bill notice with a red stamp Correction on top and the bill is now back to 334. By now this company had mailed me 5 times wasting a ton of payroll and the post office time. I paid the bill however had a change of heart being a green company thinking of all the emissions this company has wasted along with all the payroll and time and cancelled the policy at the end of March. Its April 13th and I still have not received my refund. I would NEVER do business with this company as they do absolutely nothing towards preserving this planet and reducing their carbon imprint they make. Their Cancellation notice is a scare tactic to get businesses to pay sooner to Improve their cash flow. Attention Businesses RUN and do not work with a company."

"Absolutely awful Company. A one horse operation. Avoid like the plague. Cancelled Home Owners AND charged me a fee because of lost check. This company is horrible. Will not speak to you unless go through independent insurance agency with whom they contracted. Their license should be yanked nation wide."

"They dropped us without warning because we have a German Shepherd. There is nothing in our policy stating otherwise. Worst customer service ever Stay away"

"I would stay away from EMC I was insured with them for over 3 years when I canceled my policy they wanted to charge me 1300 dollars. For how knows why. Been Emailing them and all I get is a run around."

"I was in an auto accident on October 4, 2017 in which the other party was at fault. Officer XXXX [ed. Name deleted] responded to the accident call and the other party provided both a verbal and written statement that I was driving straight on a main street and that she pulled out of a parking lot, turning left, and hit me. I collaborated both verbally and in writing. Today is November 1, 2017. I have made numerous calls to the claims adjuster and to my agent and they are refusing to pay my repairs of 779. I have been repeatedly informed that the responsible party's insurance Progressive doesn't want to pay, so I am responsible for paying my 500 deductible, even though the other party admitted fault. EMC has provided the worst insurance customer service that I have ever experienced."

"this insurance company is not at all customer freindly there is not to give out info to there clients even though it asked for . i wouldnt ever use this comapny again"

"We have been with EMC for some time now and we had the experience to file a couple of claims one was a auto claim and the other was a homeowner claim. On the auto claim my wife was involved in an accident and hit by an unlicensed driver who the insurance company for that car was Geico. The other driver was arrested on scene for no license.Although they paid the claim the car should have been totaled. A Kia Soul with 9800 dollars damaged should have been totaled. After paying the claim they dropped us from Auto. Within the last three months we had a major hail storm. All neighbors had roofs replaced. My roof was only 4 years old. They allowed for a new roof and such but depreciated the claim by 9% for only being 4 years old. I was told after I did repairs I would get depreciation check. So I did all repairs and now they are not sending me the check. They refuse stating they overpaid me?? Also back in May they raised my deductible from 1000 to 1500 per occurrence by slipping a piece of paper in my policy renewal. However no agent contacted us"

"After 9 years of policy holding with no losses 2 claims denied and refused to renew. After the second claim was filed they denied the claim refused to renew my policy increased premiums and decreased the coverage for my property. I have filed a complaint with the state commissioner not much of a help at all. The only thing EMC agreed on was to renew the policy but the renewal is not in place yet. My insurance expired on 7/1/2014 and it is 7/14/2014 I have not received any renewal paperwork or know at this point if I have a coverage. Very scammy business to deal with. I am looking for an attorney to help me. "

"This company is horrible we had to file a claim because we bought the extra ins for equipment breakdown and its been a week and still nothing from the adjuster who was the rudest person ever... I will be changing insurance company's for sure...Do not use this company..."

"We filed a claim on our roof after a hail storm. We were denied after getting the run around becuase "it is normal wear and tear". This seemed odd since three other houses on our block filed a claim with their insurance and got the roof replaced. We even got the claim our neighbor filed to show that this was not a normal wear and tear. They still denied us and will not return our call. This is going on about 3-4 months. I have filed a complaint so we will see. "

"After 20 years with this company and virtually no home owner claims we were treated rudely and made to feel as though we were trying to get more than was due for damages. Have never been treated so rudely. For several thousand dollars they could have made this right but rather are choosing to lose an agent and all their clients. In all fairness they did pay well when our son totalled his car. We were VERY surprised and disappointed by their response and customer service."

"Rude adjusters that will try and make you feel like a criminal slow and incompetent with handling claims. They will low-ball your repair quote and put you through the ringer. For the good of your sanity at an already stressful time STAY AWAY from this company Their rates may look cheap but you may find hidden endorsements on your policy you never asked for that will reduce the amount your claim by thousands of . Keep your sanity and find a different company."
