Company History: First American Title was founded when C.E. Parker merged two competing firms in Orange County in 1894. The result was Orange County Title Company, the predecessor to First American Title Insurance Company. In 1957 First American began to expand out of Orange County and by 1963 it was operating in four different states. In 1988 First American branched into Canada. Today, First American operates in almost 70 countries.
