Allstate Insurance Reviews and Customer Comments

"refused to pay some of soot damage claim - ie for carpeting but paid for new blinds, paid most of inside damage but no outside soot damage. My ins. cost went up a helling because of the claim not my fault, due to wrong part on furnace and though a customer for over 20 years and now a senior on limited income, no one ever called me to tell me how to save on premiums."

"My 23 year old daughter is married, has changed her name, and she and her husband have their own place. Allstate refuses to remove her from my policy because she is a young driver. I am not insuring any vehicles she has ever driven and obviously since she does not live with us and is married, she does not use our insured vehicles. For nearly three months now, I have been given the runaround by Allstate and they still have not removed her from my policy as a driver, which I know allows them to First, they insisted they needed her new address, which I thought was none of their business, but I provided it. When I asked them afterward why she was still listed on my policy, they said they now needed the name of her new insurance company and the policy number. This is absolutely insane. If they are so interested, they can do some research and find it. I am not going to butt into my daughter's and son-in-law's personal financial information. I do not see how Allstate can argue they are at risk--if she is no longer on my policy, than obviously they do not cover her if she was involved in an incident, so where is their liability Looks like nothing but a greedy money grab to me."
