"Humana- Its the poor man insurance. This is the worst insurance company. I work for a doctors office and I see how claims are handled- generally we have to fight for every penny. They are the worst at reimbursement and don't pay for anything. I have this insurance and don't have a choice as this is insurance for Retired Military folks. So much for serving your country. I would say if you can choose - pick any insurance company but HUMANA. Its so bad the Doctor I work for is planning on not taking this insurance. I have to write letters, make phone call and provide extra stuff that Medicare never asks for to get the Doctor paid. I want to know what Humana does with the premium payments The pay 2.07 for an office visitcan you frekin believe it and the patient has to pay a 40 copay. Where is the premium money going Isn't that what we pay a premium for The math doesn't add up. Somebody is making a killing on poor unsuspecting Seniors and other who need health insurance. Don't do it. Look somewhere else."

"As of 01-01-2020, my Part D Plan with Humana was converted from a 29 per month plan to a 64 per month plan.I was unable to access my email for several months prior to this change and therefore, unable to receive email notifications. No other contact was attempted by Humana to get my agreement to this change. At the same time Humana made this change, they created another plan much less costly, that is similar to my previous plan, but instead chose place me in their new Premier RX plan that is more than twice the cost of my previous plan. I regularly use three Tier 1 medications and my annual cost went from around 300 plus to 900 plus with the new plan. How can they do this without my consent."

"Humana Medicare Advantage Medicare Part C or Humana Gold Plan is a waste of time, money, and patience. This company does not even deserve a single star and if it were possible to give it a quarter star, I would. Do Not Use This Company no matter how desperate you may be for a Medicare replacement plan. My recently deceased mother had a contract with Humana's Medicare Advantage Medicare Part C Plan. Ever since her death, they have been denying every claim submitted to them for every possible and impossible reason they can find--duplicate claim on the very first claim submission, not a covered service inpatient stay, outpatient radiology services, etc. , other insurance there is none, not a contracted provider provider says he's contracted, hospice not for the dates of service involved, missing information, etc. On top of that, several previously paid providers contacted me demanding payment in full for claims that had been previously paid by Humana because after my mother's death Humana went back to them and demanded the providers refund their Humana payments claiming those claims had been paid in error. Calling the company's 800 number resulted in my being on the receiving end of being hung up on, told they ...could only talk to the member despite the member being deceased, could not talk to me without a court order does not exist, etc. They also have copies of every legal document I have showing I am the legally authorized contact person. My mother paid those premiums faithfully and on time every single month so making this behavior beyond reprehensible. At this point, total billed charges are unknown but I am currently aware of bills from multiple providers totalling more than 45,000.00 and expect more to crawl out of the woodwork as this drags on."

"Every time I get a new prescription, Humana Health Care of Texas always has to ask the doctor questions which prolongs the filling of the medicine. Last time this happen with my daughter having an allergic reaction and NEEDED the medicine. I called them and they said they wanted to question the doctor if this medicine was right for the illness. So rediculas they want to play doctor remotely without seeing a patient. I ended up buying the prescription outright for 13.00 Worst insurance Ive ever had in my life and do not recommend."
