"MOE has a 500 year legacy mission statement. Very bold / impressive goals, but lately we have not seen MOE...providing rare service not found elsewhere. Their distinguishing factor is fast disappearing and MOE is now just another underwriter launching excessive rates changes just like all the others. "

"Very slow and unsatisfying claim service. Only 3 claims in the last 30 years but I still can't get them to pay for fence repair. They neglected to take into consideration that my fence was painted and didn't/wouldn't include the cost of labor and materials to replace the fence as it was before destruction by the wind. The adjuster was a complete moron.... I'm done with this company. "

"Mutual of Enumclaw provides products premium products at a fair price. If you fit their profile-great credit, figured out how to drive without hitting things, you take care of your home and want the best policies, then this is the company for you"

"STAY AWAY. 41 years a customer, no accidents, no tickets, no claims until my first in 2014. My auto mirror was damaged. Insurance paid $600 then raised my rates 37%. They added $400 per year...forever saying the State insurance commissioner sets the rates not them...LIEs. 41 years auto reward...Screwed"

"We live out in the country on a small ranch. Our commute to work is 45 minutes daily. Work hours are very unpredictable and changeable. Bought a fixer-upper in town to be closer to our jobs. Mutual of Enumclaw insures our ranch and agreed to insure our new fixer-upper too. We also have all our vehicles insured with them. Have never filed a claim for anything. It started when Enumclaw threatened to cancel insurance policy on our fixer-upper because it "was not habitable". We were fixing it up to make it habitable. Next was their threat to cancel because we "didn't live in the house". We do now when we are not at the ranch. Yesterday got another threat of cancellation on the ranch policy because its "not our primary dwelling" That's it I am totally ticked off. I don't like harassment like I have experienced with Mutual of Enumclaw. This is not my first dance with owning multiple houses but it is my first and last business with Mutual of Enumclaw. They obviously don't need reliable customers who pay their bills and try to do the right thing. Stay away from this company They will Scrw with you for no reason. Ripoff"

"missed one payment. Was out of town when the reminder came. As a result policy was cancelled after being with them for 40 yes 40yearsManaged to get it reinstated but was a big hassle"

"This company does not value its customers. It uses tricks and is not an honestly run organization. After 20 years of holding multible policies, I am moving on and I never will return."

"They have been a good valued product and on the few occasions I have filed a claim - they help quickly and respectably. I have been with Mutual Of Enumclaw for 13 years and plan being with them for another 13. Yes, rates have increased lately but it was such a bargin before! Now? simply competive prices that are better than others. Just not the substianal discount it used to be. "

"i have been trying to get ahold of my agent for 3 Months. He is never there. and never returns my phone calls. I am honestly starting to wondering if he even exists. "

"MOE is getting expensive. Costs more every year. No longer the small town insurance company it used to be. Have handled claims well, but prices keep going up and up."

"We have auto, home, boat, & personal umbrella with MOE. In the past 5 years I have had several minor accidents (backed into things, once with rental car) & one major accident (rear ended a car that had stopped for pedestrian - I was not paying not paying attention & it was entirely my fault! Total claim amounted to about $90K due to injury). Have always gotten quick, courteous service. After all that, I consider my self blessed that my rates have only gone up about 10%! I looked at other companies, but either rates are significantly higher or satisfaction ratings significantly lower. We are sticking with MOE & highly recommend!"

"A snow storm collapsed my patio roof. They sent an adjuster within a day and we had it titally repaired within a week. I had a fender bender that required work on both cars involved (my fault). Everything was handled quickly and professionally. The company who repaired my car was very happy when they found out I was with MoE. They said they are simply the best at handling claims."

"I have been with this company since 1994. In February they canceled me. Not for filing three minor claim totaling less than two thousand dollars but for the apperance of the property and our two dogs. In one weekend we cleared the blackberry bushes and cleaned up the yard. Our dogs are a Lab and a Shiba Inu. They have told us they will reinstate our insurance provided we jump through a number of hoops that will cost us additional money every year."

"I have seen the negative remarks that others have posted about Mutual of Enumclaw. I definitely disagree. I have been insured by Mutual of Enumclaw for about fifteen years. The representatives know me by name and are always very friendly. Claims service is the best I've ever seen. A little expensive but worth it."

"I have been very happy with Mutual Of Enumclaw. Price is ok but what sells me is the claim processing. The people I have worked with were through and fair in the processing of the claim."

"The thing that made Mutual of Enumclaw special is no longer the case - they used to be a small town insurance company that cared about their customers - now it feels like they are trying to become one of the "big boys" - they no longer value their customers and it shows - customer service is a thing of the past - I don't have a "name" - I'm now a "number" - I will NOT be renewing my policy with Mutual of Enumclaw. "

"we had a water damage problem with our rental house. The tenant had allowed a leak to continue until the floor started to discolor before telling us. I called to file a claim and initially they were receptive, it took about 4 dyas for an adjuster to contact me. wait, it took 4 days BEFORE I HAD TO TRACK DOWN MY ADJUSTER TO GET THE BALL ROLLING. Once I was able to get a hold of them and get them out to my property, I was assured that everything would be taken care of. two weeks later I was still waiting for an answer to whether the damage would be covered. estimates were in the range of $9000. after pestering my adjuster to get an answer, I was told +/- 6 weeks after the initial claim call that the damage would not be covered because it had been going on for too long... hard to believe when I called as soon as I found out about it. It should not be my fault that I had a dumb renter that didn't stop to think that there was a problem until the chair leg went through the vinyl flooring. "

"For every complaint about "them" not paying, there is always two sides to the story! I work in the industry and definately find that 99% of the time, the complaint was fairly handled when ALL the facts are on the table. MoE is a great local company that does stand by it's customers. "

"They have consistently tried to make excuses to raise my rates. For instance, they asked for to mail them proof of my previous insurance after they had insured me. I sent them the documents indicating I had constinuous coverage. They then wrote me that because I had lower limits on my previous coverage they had to increase my rates. They did this 2 months into my coverage with the company. Why would increasing my rates when I switched to their company, increase my premium after they had already quoted it to me and charged me? Makes no sense. It is a scam."

"I was caught up in a head on car accident 01/03/06 between two cars. One car insured by Mutual of Enumclaw came back into my car. From the very beginning I was told by Mutual of Enumclaw that I needed to share some of the blame of the accident. My claim has been open for 22 months. This accident between the two insurance companies went to arbitration and Mutual of Enumclaw's insured was found to be 70% at fault. The Mutual of Enumclaw claims adjuster offered to settle for much less than the 70% that was assigned to them. In fact it was only $500 over the 30% that Farmers Insurance had been assigned. I told Mutual of Enumclaw that I thought they should as least settle for the 70% that the arbitration determined they should pay and they refused. The Washington State Insurance Commissioner's office was contacted. Only then would Mutual of Enumclaw offer the 70% fault settlement. I have had two auto and two home policies, plus a boat policy with Mutual of Enumclaw for many years. After experiencing their attitude towards handling this claim I will seriously consider changing companies when my policies come up for renewal."

"This is a small town insurance company. Very customer satisfaction driven. I feel like I'm dealing with friends with them. I have had two claims and both times were very easy and generous."

"I was very satisfied with this company until several years ago when they dramatically increased their rates. I've been with them for about 20 years with a good driving record. They've become just another greedy insurance company now. I'm looking around at other insurance companies, something that I haven't done since I went with them. I'm hearing that other companies may be no better or cheaper."
