"Had my first homeowner claim ever....they were great to work with...their adjuster was amazing...and very kind and helpful. I got current value replacement and my repairs remodel turned out beautiful Have been with them over 16 years, complaints."

"For me, terrible service. Raising rates every year and now even charging you for a Electronic Funds Transfer. Never seems to stop asking for more money."

"We had four drivers, four cars and a home insured with Oregon Mutual. Rates had incresed with each addtional teen driver and vehice as expected. This year we received notice that our rates were increasing over 500 because of credit reports that Oregon Mutual had received from Trans Union. A call to Trans Union reported that nothing was out of the ordinary and that they did not show anything adverse in our credit that they would find need to report. Oregon Mutual representatives told us that they did not have any way to change this and that we should talk to our agent. Our insurance agent has no way to take a credit report to Oregon Mutual but trying to explain this to Oregon Mutual representatives got nowhere. They would not or could not explain why they reported to us that our credit had problems and why this nonexistent problem was raising our rates. Consequently, our agent found us better insurance at lower premiums. Oregon Mutual was a good insurer during the time we were with them, but I would seriously suspect and question rate increases if your situation remains the same."

"I do NOT recommend Oregon Mutual. I had a homeowner's policy with Oregon Mutual for almost 10 years, and never had a claim of any kind. None. After getting a quote from a different company, which would save me 110year, I decided to change companies. So, I notified Oregon Mutual in writing that I wanted to cancel my policy on the effective date of the new policy. Well, an e-mail from the new company reaffirming my purchase of the new policy went astray - so I asked my agent to arrange for the old policy with Oregon Mutual to be reinstated, to prevent me from possibly having a brief lapse in coverage. My agent and I were both astonished, and a little angry, that the underwriter at Oregon Mutual vindictively refused to reinstate a policy which still had 3 months of coverage remaining, because they knew I was leaving Oregon Mutual. DO NOT BUY INSURANCE FROM THIS VINDICTIVE, PETTY COMPANY."

"I don't negotiate monthly premium but when a claim is filed I have to fight to get them to pay even 70% of the loses. Then they cancel you too bad."

"I have been with Oregon Mutual for 20 or maybe 30 years. I've never filed a claim. They refused to pay anything on the snowwind damage to my roof. I will be switching companies asap. WTH have I been paying for"

"Terrible company, they are trying to make me double pay for one month of service After not even a week they had cancelled my policy do to a speeding ticket I got over 2 years ago. This company sucks Go with Geico"

"Beware this company promises to pay out the top of two independent bids then finds adjusters who find rediculously low bids. We did our own research and found more comparable cars at significantly higher prices. The insurance representatives became surly and defensive when we contested their figures with evidence. If you go with this company expect a battle when it comes to making a claim."

"VERY difficult to work with. I filed a claim on damages my car sustained while parked in front of my house while I was away at work. Though I gave my work number on my claim the adjuster called my home number and left a message to return his call. I did so three times and it wasn't until I wrote to the admin office several days later to inquire that the adjuster returned my call. He hemmed and hawed called me a few times about the difficulty in getting information from his contacts then finally on the 30-day deadline did I get a call telling me based on information he could "cut me a check." I asked for a recap in writing which he said he would send me by email the next day but 3 days later I still haven't heard back. They're operating within insurance guidelines but definitely not following through with the supposed "customer service" promised. I definitely suggest NOT signing up with this company"

"Very good Insurance Company. My claim was handeled fair and fast. I used to be with GEICO and I'll never go back there. You're strictly a number with them"

"Very good insurance company. They have been in business for about 120 years and provide good insurance coverage and very good claims handling/service. I will continue to do business with them and my great Insurance Agent"

"My husband did 10k in damages to his truck while driving his truck on the river bank. Oregon Mutual covered it no questions asked. The assessor was not able to accurately estimate the damages until the shop had pulled the entire front suspension apart but Oregon Mutual was so exceptionally easy to work with. We had a check in our mailbox for the amount minus our deductible before the parts had even arrived at the shop."

"Have waited over a year for my claim all they do is stall. Buy a lotto ticket your odds are better than getting paid by these losers. Run from this company. "

"After about 20 years with Oregon Mutualboth home and auto with no at fault claims made until this year 2012 the company has decided to increase my homeowners premium by 17 percent. I expect they will also increase my auto premiums as well. Would not advise anyone to do business with them."

"Very unprofessional Its been over 9 months and claim still not paid. They keep saying they will pay it but they are not. Now its reported on my credit twice and still cant get anything done. Horrible Company to work with."

"scratched a car in a lot, left msg. people claimed much more damage than was done. OM paid off and raised our rates because it was over some limit. Agent forgot to add comp and collision to daughters new policy, (first car). 1 month later comprehensive claim, agent told OM his fault, They refused to pay. Cheap prices, very tight with paying out claims. "

"Difficult knowing who you are insured by. After filing a claim Oregon Mutual subs it out to other companies and some of these are not nice people. After settling over accident then Oregon Mutual cancels policy. A very frustrating company to work with"
