"This is the worse life insurance that can be purchased. The basic benefit charge is almost twice the amount of the premiums. Have lost around 60,000 and forced to cancel insurance due to the expense of the policy being so high and unreasonable. Please don't make the same mistake I have. Should be laws and regulations against companies charging whatever they decide on to force customers to cancel their insurance."

"Website is completely useless. When you sign in online it tells you to call the number on your insurance card. Website is full of ads and pop-ups. I work nights and can't call during the day and of course it's closed."

"Bought Life Insurance in the late 80's. Was not explained to me about UNIVERSAL Life Insurance. 30 years later I'm told the quarterly payment is no 3 TIMES THE ORIGINAL PAYMENT to keep policy. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT INSURANCE WITH THIS COMPANY. They are TOTAL RIP-OFFS."

"Universal life or Variable life policies that they sold back in the 1990's are a rip-off with a fancy name. After paying in massive amounts of premiums they now said that the premiums need to triple then can go even higher because they say there is no cash value in the policy. Forced to sell it and had a massive loss. Would have done better putting the premium money into a zero interest savings account and would have been much futher ahead. What they are doing is elder abuse and want to force customers to surrender the policy all together because no one can afford these massive premium increases. They are all crooks."

"Had a accident that I had to go to the ER, thinking I would be fine I was was wrong they wouldn't cover anything, waited more that 2 months too find that out. I now owe 1800 to the hospital"

"This company is a joke it does not pay for hospitial bills, cost for emergancy rooms. All they cover is calls to doctors what a joke. This year I'm switching to a better insurance."

"Now how come having premium plan doesnt pay for my hospital bills. Had the plan been below premium, understanding it would be. Its decoration, save up to another insurance. May have to fight against them for fraud and false advertisement. Claims takes a while. Very sneaky."

"They absorb all the cash value of the policies under a bogus Mortality charge that increases every year until there is no cash value left. Then they ask for extra money. My policy's annual Mortality charge increased from 15.37 in 2010 to 324.38 in 2016. They make sure that the life policies will expire before they have to pay the benefits."

"This insurance company is the worst insurance you can buy as an employee it covers nothing you only get 5 visits a year pays for nothing if you need surgery or hospital stay they will not pay I pay for me and my spouse over 475.00 a month and I can even get sick terrible rip off of my hard earned money and I can't drop it now hate being ripped off like this someone needs to put them out of business I have had this policy sense January 1 2017 I have had 3 claims and they will not pay"

"I had to have ovaries removed due to cancer. The only paid five hundted dollars. I stuck with the bill. Every single bill sent to thrm is refused as not preventive. Or they day cofing error. They will do anything not to pay money. If not yhe only insurance offered by my employer i would never use them nor do I recommend them. They ate a company that gets you in the door. Be prepared to pay for your bill and with only dix dr visits allowed a year, this insirance is for the healthy never gets sick person. They should be under investigation."

"The worst, most despicable company. They always say They did not receive a claim for any Doctor that I went to. They give you obstacles and run arounds because they don't want to pay. How is it possible none of my Doctors are billing them they try to tell me i'm not showing the Doctors my insurance card HAHA no, I am HOWEVER, they never 'RECEIVE ANY CLAIM. When I am asked the amount that was billed to them I said I don't know, but I know the service date and what was billed to me. They tell me for each claim I have to call my Doctor, and have them resubmit claims, and ask for the amount that Pan American is billed for, and then to call them back. ARE YOU KIDDING ME THIS IS RIDICULOUS I'M SO SICK THEY EVER GOT A DIME OF MY MONEY SUCH A JOKE. NO WONDER THEY STAY IN BUSINESS THEY DON'T PAY ANY MONEY OUT THEY NEVER RECEIVE ANYTHING EXCEPT FOR MY MONEYYYYYYY"

"Been with this company for over 5 years because it's the ony one offered for health by the employer and they haven't paid two years worth of claims so I went to my state's insurance commissioner recently and filed a compliant and am waiting to hear from that."

"I have a policy through the global company I work for in Costa Rica.They wont pay for the operation that the Dr said is needed in the next month. They are delaying wanting a second opinion. No money has been paid for the appointments so far it looks like I will have to risk flying back to the UK for the operation. Not worth the paper its written on.>Don't pay this company any money they wont care about your health"

"I've had this health insurance for close to three years.... its horrible. They won't pay for anything more than a doctors visit, period. I get this health insurance through my - equally - horrible employer. To be blunt, what you get from Pan American is nothing short of a rip off. You'd be better off having no insurance and pay the IRS penalty for having none than to use PanAmerican... it'd be cheaper. You'd save your monthly premiums because essentially 99% of the claims will be denied for no real practical reason, and you'll have to pay out of pocket anyways. In 2014 alone, I paid close to $4,000 out of pocket because claims were denied. I couldn't imagine having HIV, cancer, or anything serious with this health insurance company - Pan American would essentially let you die before pay a claim. >>It's bad when doctors, labs, and customer service representatives from hospitals tell you you'd be better off being uninsured than using Pan American. I hope to have a new job soon, but in the event I make to the open enrollment period for individual buyers before I get a new job, I'm dumping Pan American and getting my own insurance through"

"Had one of my employees take his wife for standard prenatal care. All the x-rays and tests were SUPPOSED to be covered. X-rays and tests were able to be scheduled and done in one day. NO ONE ever advised them that ONLY the first couple hundred for that day would be covered leaving them both stuck with the remaining balance of like...3000 to pay out of pocket. had they spread out the x-rays and tests over 4 days almost all of that 3000 would have been covered"

"According to the handbook for this insurance that was provided by my employer which is right in front of me as I type this review preventative care appointments are of no cost and the company pays 60.00 for doctor's visits that aren't routine. Why then is this company trying to tell me that my routine doctor's visit which should have fallen under preventative care is going to cost me 112.00 with the company only paying 37.50? If they want to argue that it wasn't a preventative care appointment they should still be paying 60.00 This company will do anything to screw its customers out of money. I have paid almost 1000 dollars this year out of my paycheck for this insurance and it's not worth it. I would have saved more money by having no insurance. If your company offers this company as insurance do not get it If you are the kind of person who does not get sick or injured often you are better off paying out of pocket."

"I had over 7000 in emergency room cost of which this company "claimed" a condition I had never been diagnosed with nor ever treated for was labeled "pre-exsisting" they never paid on anything. They also said they would cover a routine mammogram which after the hospital took several months to get them to paythey would not pay. I paid for this useless policy ended up paying ALL OF MY MEDICAL COSTS DURING THAT TIME. WORTHLESS POLICY. Could not get anyone to actually answer the phone left messages never called me back on my questions. Won't let you cancel any other way then the unanswered "customer service line" which like I said they never called back. Had to close my bank account in order to stop the premiums from being paid. WOW BIG mistake in choosing this bunch of rip offs "

"Needed to cancel an insurance package life health endowment. Tried to collect present day value of monies paid they didn't recognized any monetary value on all monies I paid in. Scam artists...I feel bamboozled. Never Again"

"They refused to pay for a prescription that should have fallen under preventive care because there was no generic equivalent. They profit off of the pain of others and refuse to pay for anything. You are better off with no insurance. I can't wait to get rid of these parasites. I don't care if my new coverage is more expensive."

"I don't understand how this company can even call themselves a health insurance company. WHAT exactly am I paying for? Health insurance is supposed to put you at ease knowing that things will be taken care of. All I feel is oppression and like I've been blind folded beaten and robbed. I am absolutely astounded. I am close to dropping this company because i can make up for the cost of my healthcare with the money I save not having to pay these frauds. What a scam. "

"They will not pay any claim... They have an exclusion for any thing that might occur. They will steal your money and won't even pick up the phone. Just try for yourself.try to call claims they will not answer .."

"When my husband applied for this insurance for me he was told things that were not true and other things things they didn't tell him. For instance he was told we could use a certain hospital and it is not on our plan and also they told us I could use my same doctors and all I would have to do was nominate a doctor and they would get them to agree to take it and they didn't tell us it could take from 3 to 6 months. I had to cancel my doctors appointment. Now I don't know what to do about getting my prescriptions filled. We have been paying on it for two months now for nothing. we were told it had prescription coverage to and we have not got that either. "

"The BEST thing YOU can DO is get as MANY people OFF this HORRENDUS company as possibleThousands of individuals just like me suffer from these money grab companies it is sad that this one in particular exsist im a fool bc i've been trying to cancel with no success and now when i need them my worst nightmear has come true they have so many loop holes to make sure you come out of pocket that its distrubing i don't know how any sensible human being can feel good working for a blatantly vile company. "After 9 months Pan American has still not paid my medical bills. The hospital and doctors have sent my accounts to a collection agency. My good credit rating is being ruined by Pan American's lack of responsibility to uphold our contract for health care benefits. "

"I've had a great experience with Pan American so far. I bought a policy about a year ago haven't had any issues. My agent is easy to get a hold and very informative. I've referred family and friends to Pan Am and have not heard any negative feed back from them either. Quality insurance quality company."

"Pan American Life In Strata Health is a worthless co. Do not make the same mistake I did. After getting the insurance which I thought was best for me I got breast cancer two months later. So far they have paid nothing. I'm left with out of pocket debt which will take me years to pay off. How can these company's take your money and run. Please do not sign with this company they are frauds the rich get richer and poor well you fill in the blank."

"A year ago my 12 now 13 yr old daughter broke her arm and we went to the ER. We filed with Pan Am. We had to file the same claim numerous times. Our doctor filed numerous times. Pan Am's responses range from That person doesn't work here anymore to This seems to be related to a preexisting condition. Really...a random fall related to a preexisting condition? After a year of delay lies avoidance tactics Pan Am says that it was out of network and will be applied to our deductible. As if we were still with Pan Am. We dropped them like a cheating double dealing high school boyfriend. We have lost thousands to these thieves that we could not afford to lose. Who can these days? The folks at the hospital MUSC Charleston have been very patient with us have told us that they have always had the same miserable dealings with Pan Am but are now calling in the debt which we will pay out of pocket. Sorry MUSC. Where is your shame Pan Am. And those who work at Pan can you?"

"Very little information ever given does not want to help their customers at all Sometimes no one answers the phone or calls back - you must keep calling to get a hold of someone. Takes a long time like over 2 months to get an answer on claims. Will Not be using them again."

"My coverage is through my employer. The company put me in as a "new" customer when they had emphasized all enrolled in ins. would be immediately accepted without waiting periods and all medical expense totals would be used in the change-over. This ins. company did not follow-up with their statements and cost me financially and psychologically heavily. They authorized care and out-patient work then refused to acknowledge me as a customer. I look forward to a change of carriers to a company that is honest. "

"We had an employer insurance company with another company. Mid year the employer swiched to Pan American Life while I was having surgery. So they made me pay a new deductible on the same claim as I had with the other insurance company and only paid less then 660.00 on a 58000 claim. After turning them into the Dept of Finace they paid alittle more on my claim. They they refused to pay any monies on my rehab that they had approved before I started. Now I have another large bill in collections. So no I will not recommend this comany to anyone. "

"I bought personal and business disability insurance from them. Several years later I became disabled from an accident. They have been helpful, honest and great to deal with. It saved me from a bad situation financially. I cant thank them enough. They are what they say they are and come through with what they promised. Thanks"

"These people are the worst bunch of "professionals" i have ever incountered in my life. They constantly make false claims that they have not recieved claims from our providers. After research found that proof was provided that they had in fact recieved the claims"
