"My husband was hit by an unlicensed driver with Safeway insurance. The accident was totally the Safeway drivers fault. I filed a claim with Safeway the next day and it was assigned to a claims adjuster who was out of town at the time. My calls to him went unanswered until a very rude woman returned my call. She didn't identify herself and basically said that they might not pay the claim and there was nothing I could do about it. When I asked for more information, she ended the call. I continued to leave messages for the assigned claims adjuster, but never heard from him. My own insurance company eventually got the name and number of a Safeway supervisor. I did speak to him, but he gave me no additional information. I finally received a letter from Safeway stating that they were investigating the claim. The letter misspelled my name and got my address wrong. It was also sent in a used envelope that was taped closed. Soon thereafter, my insurance heard that they declined the claim. I called the Safeway claims adjuster asking for a letter confirming the decision. I never heard from Safeway and have not received a letter. It has been a month since the accident and I never once spoke to the assigned claims adjuster. Safeway is a sloppy, unprofessional company that has no regard for customer service nor common courtesy. I would not recommend this company to anyone."

"Rip offs Safeway always tries to cheat-out of billing statements. If you pay monthly they charge a $5.00 fee which is not Written separately from what the amount due, nor do the dates reflect or state say in order to avoid the fee you must pay by this date, it doesn't specify in details or not Broken down for the customer. Therefore customers paying more then they should. No other company send out an amount due with Fee included without breaking it down and letting the customer know that there's a fee included in the payment. They promote what is told you Verbally, and do not want/care or as we were told Unprofessionally "it's not going to happen?" how rude. that's not how you respond to customers big or small client it doesn't matter. We were told by [name deleted], "we cannot please all the customers?" we were like, how about Doing the Right Job with dignity? how about not bullying and cheating customers? Give us a break SAFEWAY just because get off the high horse for no reason, and come down and get trained how to respect and respond to customers'request professionally and carefully. You do not need to hang up, or be rude there's no point whatsoever, Unless you want to receive thousand of Bad co. reviews, and LOSE BUSINESS. helloooo"

"The ONLY good thing about this company is you can drive legally on the road for cheap. I was in an accident, not my fault, it has been almost a week and I can't even get someone to call me back?? Are you kidding? I have no rental, I am injured, and they won't even get on the phone with me"
