Pyramid Life Reviews and Customer Comments

"Pyramid Long Term Insurance should be put out of business- they are only in the business to collect premiums and certainmly not to help a customer- the sorriest company I have ever dealt with- don't thin of buying insurance from them."

"I take care of my 87 year old Mother's affairs. She has a long term care policy with Pyramid Life Insurance Company. This company is very dishonest when paying benefits. They come up with something every month and to clear it up requires long telephone conversations with off shore operators. Very slow to respond but if you stay after them they will eventually pay. I am sure they don't pay many claims ever. People that don't have help with their affairs are going to be out of luck. I have finally gotten enough and am turning them into the Texas Attorney Generals office."

"worst insurance experience ever and I worked in health care claimsfiling for my employer for 9 years. Now, cant get an answer or even a physical address to fedex our documentation that they requested have had policy for decades and now when we need it, they are playing pass the buck and not returning calls."

"run away as quickly as possible-this is not a reliable company- you cannot find two employees that can give you the same answer to a problem. I wouyld never have bought life or long term insurance with them if I" had known the way they lie and get out of paying claims. They should be put out of business. I am a mad, mad subsacriber."

"I would not recommend this company to any consumer. After paying premiums on a long-term care policy for 15 years and receiving pre-approval to enter long-term care the claim was denied after a 3 month review. After a 2 month appeal review the claim was finally deemed eligible but only as of the date the appeal was filed. No claims person will talk to the policy holder on the phone. They will only communicate by letter sent through the mail. The claims process is tedious and difficult to navigate. DO NOT buy insurance from this company. You are better off saving the premiums and investing them in the event you need long term care. "
