"They processed 2 checks even though my bank had cancelled one of them. Therefore they owe me 4143.50 and I have not received the refund. The wait time on phone calls to them is over 12 hour and then I hung up."

"My brother has a life ins. policy with pyramid. He is in a care center incapable of handling his own affairs. He has them withdraw monthly payment electronicly from his checking acc. I sent pyramid Power Of Attorney requesting them to direct his payments to me. They refused to honor POA. Sent another letter and called. Same results This is a very dishonest company, even criminal. Attorney General in Nebraska should investagate them."

"Pyramid Long Term Insurance should be put out of business- they are only in the business to collect premiums and certainmly not to help a customer- the sorriest company I have ever dealt with- don't thin of buying insurance from them."

"I take care of my 87 year old Mother's affairs. She has a long term care policy with Pyramid Life Insurance Company. This company is very dishonest when paying benefits. They come up with something every month and to clear it up requires long telephone conversations with off shore operators. Very slow to respond but if you stay after them they will eventually pay. I am sure they don't pay many claims ever. People that don't have help with their affairs are going to be out of luck. I have finally gotten enough and am turning them into the Texas Attorney Generals office."

"worst insurance experience ever and I worked in health care claimsfiling for my employer for 9 years. Now, cant get an answer or even a physical address to fedex our documentation that they requested have had policy for decades and now when we need it, they are playing pass the buck and not returning calls."

"run away as quickly as possible-this is not a reliable company- you cannot find two employees that can give you the same answer to a problem. I wouyld never have bought life or long term insurance with them if I" had known the way they lie and get out of paying claims. They should be put out of business. I am a mad, mad subsacriber."

"I would not recommend this company to any consumer. After paying premiums on a long-term care policy for 15 years and receiving pre-approval to enter long-term care the claim was denied after a 3 month review. After a 2 month appeal review the claim was finally deemed eligible but only as of the date the appeal was filed. No claims person will talk to the policy holder on the phone. They will only communicate by letter sent through the mail. The claims process is tedious and difficult to navigate. DO NOT buy insurance from this company. You are better off saving the premiums and investing them in the event you need long term care. "

"I have had my Medicare Supplement with this company for of 10 years now and they have been very prompt to pay my claims. "

"I work for a physicians office and this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. They pay claims but then ask for their money back a year later. If you send them a check to refund the the supposed overpayment they turn around and take the money back on current claims also. Then take months to pay back the double refund. To avoid this we decided to let them take back money on curretn claims and that process took 6 months and they threatened to send us to collections. They are suppose to follow Medicare payment guidelines but they dont. If we appeal claims the appeals are almost always lost. It takes three appeals filings to get an appeal in their system. Every time we call we get a different answer and our previous contact with them is not documented. Patients dont realize what goes on behind the scenes but these are the reasons that some physcians have choosen not to take this insurance anymore."

"Not only will i never use this insurance again but the doctor offices in my area will not longer acept this insurance. The customer services reps do not speak or understand english. This is very bad for our country"

"Tried to switch from a Premier Plan to a Value Plan for 2010. 4 months later, still getting bills for Premier. After we terminated them, they sent a letter saying we could have the Value Plan. By that time we signed up with another company. They paid the bills, but no follow-up after 5 calls to Customer Service in the Philippines to switch plans."

"Have read other reviews ... Customer service?? ... Non-existent!!!!!!!! I handle insurance affairs for my mother. In Dec 2008 she was dropped ... just magically disappeared. We did not know until Spring 2009 after providers started calling and wanted their money. It was half way through the physical year before my mom was reinstated."

"We are an ambulance service, and we have had nothing but a run-around by Pyramid claims dept. Lied to about payment numerous times. No one will accept responsibilty for their errors. I beleive they are trained to delay payments as long as possible. "

"We are a health provider and we refuse to accept this insurance. The problem is they do not pay us for the claims and you cannot get any resolution from them. They mislead or flat out lie to people regarding what they cover and people are not able to continue on services that were coverred under Medicare when they were told they were also covered under Pyramid. We also had a problem here in Texas where people were switched from regular Medicare to this company and had no idea and had never authorized this. There are some that are still trying to get this resolved from January of 2007. I do not recommend this company to any seniors."

"I have Today's Options Premier Plus plan (it is with the drug coverage). So far the plan has paid out exactly as explained and that is after a full knee replacement and later a triple bypass SX. Customer service is very helpful and easy to get a hold of. I would recommend this company to anyone."

"So far all claims have been honored as advertised, but their billing and customer service are a nightmare! I have spent hours on the phone trying to straighten out simple things like my phone number, trying to talk to people who can't speak English! They said they would deduct my premiums from SS, but never did, and gave several different (conflicting) reasons why not. They seem to be completely crazy, BUT... so far they are paying my medical bills!!!"

"Customer service is pretty much nonexistent....they transfer you around until you give up. They do not heed any corrections made to address, etc, even if you call the offices. It is a low budget copany compared to others we have dealt with and we would not renew or recommend."

"Todays Options dropped my insurance for one month without any notification. Just all of a sudden, the month of Dec. 07 is not covered. I now have piles of bills I am now allowed to submit to Medicare, no money to pay them, and Todays Options refuses to pay for the Medicare covered services I signed on for them to take care of. Next step is insurance commissioner."

"Communication is very poor . . . borderline impossible. I did ALL their work I set up a network of Doctors for them. I solicited the billing department at my Doctors office and got them to accept the company. I needed a new wheelchair. They approved it but gave me a one month window to operate in. I am almost out of time, I cannot complete purchase in time. I do not have the have an extension. Another big battle ahead. "

"They contract your Medicare Advantage Plans to Todays Options. Was on the phone today with Todays Options from 9 AM to 2PM and talked to just about everyone in India are heavens knows where else. None of the so called customer service people could help me. The problem is I chaned plans to a more expensive plan with them where they advertised that generic drugs did not go toward putting you in the so called donut hole. This sounded good but there is one catch. The generic I have been taking for 9 months and paying 7.00 for until I went into the donut hole is suppose to be 5.00 under the new plan and not count toward the donut hole. They told me that this drug was no longer covered and if it were covered it is NOT a generic even though my pharmacy verified that it was indeed a generic. Check for yourself. It is Oxycodone which is the gerneric form of oxycotin. Also they sent me my explaination of benefits dated 11/27/07 which stated that there was no change to my drug formulary and IF they changed it they would give me a 60 day notice of the change. I have never gotten any notice to this effect. They are telling me that they do not even now cover this drug and that I will have to buy it at my pharmacy for 320.00 for 30 days instead of the genric price of 5.00. I am calling them tomorrow and spening another 2 to 4 hours with everyone in INDIA to advise them that I am filing a grievience and want to be heard by the Govt. grievience board. I am also contacting the Insurance Commission of the State of Georgia tomorrow concerning these tactics that Todays Options/Pyramid Life is pulling on us Seniors. I might add that I also called Pyramid Life Insurance Company (who I pay my premiums to) direct today and talked with Kevin and he was not able to help me either. They sure don't hesitate to take my premiums every month. "

"They lied about the disenrollment date to Medicare and kept taking money out of our Social Security after we were disenrolled. We were only with the company for two months and none of our doctors would except this insurance, therefore we had to disenroll. My husband is under constant care with his doctor and is in very serious condition and because of the misinformation that Pyramid gave to Medicare he was unable to keep his doctor appointments. Every time we called Today's Options (Pyramid) they gave us a complete runaround. If they don't refund our money for the months that we were disenrolled this matter will be put in the hands of our attorney. We are not the only ones that have had this problem. There was a big article in the AARP Newspaper concerning this matter. I certainly would not recomend this insurance to anyone."
