Constitution Life Reviews and Customer Comments

"Had to sue. Filed suit in State Court they had it transferred to Federal Court to delay. They spent 5,000 in legal fees for our 3,500 claim. The federal just got upset. They finally paid and are paying for homemaker services. We moved to another state to be closer to our children. They stop paying. Our attorney gave them 10 days to pay or we would be back in court. They paid on the 9th day. Once you have long-term care insurance, you can't afford to cancel."

"Customer service for this company is outsourced to a foreign country, so to get someone to call you back is non existent. When someone does, you cannot understand them. Even though you are sent letters with a contact person's name on the letter, you are never able to reach that individual."

"Constitution Life is refusing to pay for my grandfathers assited living facility. His policy goes back to 1994. They have sent letters and made calls that say they will pay, then another representative says no they wont pay. They say the assisted living facility does not meet their guidelines for on call Drs, and nurses. Those are lies that can be disproved with one look at the facilities web site. constitution Life Insurance lies, steals, give you the runaround of a lifetime. just to tell us to bring my grandfather home. His doctors assure us that is not even an option. They are also very arrogant bcause they get away with this scam so often. They have no respect for the dept. of SCC and believe no one can regulate them. Run from these thieves."

"Absolutely NO customer service. Their toll free number for Pensacola, Florida is in India. India locale is the administrator for Constitution Life Insurance. What a crock. There are no numbers to call anyone in Florida, even if you get transferred to the Florida office they will not give you a phone number to call them back. I have had nothing but the run around trying to get answers. I have sent a certified Death Certificate, POAs for both parents for health and finance, and they even requested and received a copy of the Will. Still, they cannot talk to me. Now they are requesting a signed letter from my mother confirming she agrees I can talk to them for her. Nothing but the run around. They owe my mother's account the premiums that were paid after my father's death, and they also owe her the option to remain on the policy she has had for years. They will not send any forms to my mother who lives at the same address as the policy shows. They are scheming crooks. Has anyone ever heard of an insurance company requesting a copy of the will when the living spouse is on the policy and is still living Most companies will mail a copy of the forms or signatures required. Why are they getting away with this"

"My aunt had two long term health care policies with Penn Life, which was taken over by Constitution Life. She entered an assisted living facility who filed the claim. She has had these policies 25 years. To date they have not paid on the claim. First, we get a call center, whose staff is in another country and they staff are very hard to understand. For one month they told us that they had not received the information from the assisted living facility, which was not true. Three times we sent the information to three different fax numbers. After brow beating them, they finally admitted that they rec'd the information. We are approaching the renewal of the policy and do not know if we should continue to pay the premium. The company only has 800 numbers, no direct line to anyone who is responsible. I realize that customers who are satisfied don't respond to surveys as well as customers who are dis-satisfied. I would not recommend this company for anyone seeking long term health care."
