"Our church has been doing business for the past 5 years. During this time we have never filed a claim and yet in the past two years our rate has gone through the roof. Please stay away from Church Mutual"

"They keep raising premiums and denying claims. A one-way street. All for them, nothing or you. To fight the claim payments due is not worth the legal costs. Dropped the company after a long association of over forty years. Imagine paying premiums for that long and having small claims denied Can't understand their media information indicating their high ratings. DO understand their annual profit reports "

"Upon the one and only settlement with Church Mutual for a storm that the Governor of Ohio declared a state of emergency church mutual sent a notification our church had filed to many claims and they were dropping us. The claim was 3500. We had storm/roofing people tell us we should have taken them for more. I guess one is too many for them. When I called to report this they changed their mind and said it was because the property was in bad condition. "

"Don't ever sign up with Church Mutual. Their agent claimed our church building was worth 75000. We got a second opinion from other reliable sources and Church Mutual was way off just as we suspected. We cancelled our policy with them immediately and are now with GuideOne."

"There is a major disconnect between their agents and their Main Office. They cannot get on the same page. Billings are a nightmare. We had a builders risk rider that took 5 months to convert over to a regular policy. Cancelled on us without proper notification for non-payment. All the while owing us money."

"Though they did finally pay the claim it took three phone calls from me to do so. "

"It took a week for an adjuster to visit my repair shop. Then when more engine problems were discovered it has taken 12 days and counting to get a response. I call every other day and wait"

"There has been a problem with billing errors and additions to old and writing new policy. They have been aware of but have not corrected errors in over 5 months. We're still in the process of resolving the matter while we're looking for coverage elsewhere."
