Cigna Health Insurance Reviews and Customer Comments

"Cigna is a ruthless insurance company who does not care about human beings. Just do a basic Google search of the name Nataline Sarkisian, and that should basically summarize what this insurance company is all about corporate greed and blatant disregard for human life. In the Nataline Sarkisian case back in December of 2007, Cigna basically tried using a bunch of legal technicalities in order to weasel their way out of covering a medically necessary liver transplant for a teenage girl Nataline Sarkisian who was on the brink of death. After publicly shaming Cigna into covering the young girl's lifesaving liver transplant, the company eventually relented and gave in. However, all of their sleazy defend, deny, and delay insurance denial tactics cost this young lady, Nataline Sarkisian precious time, and she eventually succumbed to her illness and died on December 20, 2007. Cigna was not held legally or financially accountable for that young lady's death, even when her parents Hilda and Krikor tried to sue them in court. This was due to a decades old legal technicality centering around ERISA insurance plans, of which Krikor's plan with Mercedes Benz had technically fallen into. And so, a court basically dismissed the Sarkisians' wrongful death claim against Cigna, because of decades old laws on the books. The reason for me mentioning all of this here in this review forum, is because another poster in this review forum on 10152018 had indicated that her own daughter's MRI procedure was not covered by Cigna, due to that same nonsensical and downright lame reason which they had given to that reviewer's family of the MRI not being medically necessary. Unfortunately, these have been the same ridiculous and lame excuses which Cigna has routinely used in avoiding covering a truly medically necessary procedure which I, myself have needed for quite some time. To say that Cigna is a corporate bully who preys on unsuspecting consumers, takes advantage of them and cheats them out of all their insurance premium dollars which they've paid into Cigna's plan for years, and then abandons those same members when they are most vulnerable, would probably be one of the biggest understatements of the century. This insurance company Cigna is certainly NOT in the business of caring about its members, nor are they together all the way with those same members. To the contrary, Cigna is actually in the business of cheating unsuspecting consumers who definitely don't deserve that type of corporate bullying treatment from them, and they are DEFINITELY together all the way with all of the grossly unqualified doctors and medical directors who they essentially have in their back pockets to deny, defend, and delay insurance coverage to their members - much as they had done in the Nataline Sarkisian case about 13 years earlier. So quite honestly, the next time that anyone here in this review forum who is either reading these reviews andor posting one of their own hears the name Cigna, I would implore them to please Google search Nataline Sarkisian's name. Then read her tragic story on Wikipedia, or virtually any other website on the internet in which that information is available. And then when you are done reading Nataline Sarkisian's tragic story on the internet, ask yourselves the following question Is this really an insurance company that I either want to do business with andor an insurance company who I truly feel will be 'together all the way' with me as their member, when I actually DO become sick, and when I actually DO need that same insurance coverage which I have paid into all my life And if the answers to both of those questions are indeed a resounding 'YES', I would then encourage you to run don't walk to the nearest convenience store and purchase what would undoubtedly prove to be a winning Mega Millions lottery ticket Because by that time a certain something will have officially frozen over......"
