"Don't provide monthly statements and policy information when credit union charging double in monthly payment and added to end if monthly balance. Then changed terms and conditions without my permission or contacting me."

"I contacted Cuna to advise of my relative passing, they told me I would receive the claim forms in 7-10 days and it's been weeks, I have not received anything in the mail at this time. I don't want to be calling complaining but I just might have to."

"After paying for Long Term Care Insurace for over 20 years as finally having a need, They are coming up with every excuse known to man not to deliver. This even includes saying they called when my cell phone obviously says they havent called. Then they say they closed the case because I didnt call them back. And now when I call they say theyll check on it and call right back and its been days with no call back "

"They refuse to pay the claim. I also have a life insurance policy with them. Imagine that you die expecting all to be covered and this insurance company refuses to pay. Your family will have to suffer more extra pain with your loss do to this insurance scam"

"I have a LTC care policy, they quit selling them, so those getting claims are driving up cost, so they increase the policy, since there is no new money coming in......"

"Had this company for about 3 years before making my first claim. I put in a claim because I left work due to complications from my pregnancy. It seems like they were making up rules as the claim went along. I was told to provide documentation from my doctor specifying why I was leaving work early, which I provided. Only to be told they dont pay until after the baby was born. I was constantly going to the doctor to have forms filled out. You have to constantly call or check on the website to know whats going on with your claim. It was a struggle for me to get payment. I paid for the policy for years then when I needed it it was a hassle to use."

"This company is absolutely the biggest rip off I have ever come across Lie, cheat, and steal is what they did for me Stole my money and backed my employer when my employer was wrong. I was treated like trash because CUNA and my employer screwed up. Lawsuit in the works"

"assessment surgery on my memory. So, I clearly know what happened. Whether the assessment was denied for services or approved the client should get a report and the CUNA should have records of it. It is scary to continue paying but it is scary at my age not to have Long Term Health Care especially when you don't have anyone to help you to the degree that I might need in the future."

"Long term care policy billing issues, sub-par customer service people and a general not in a big hurry attitude. Recent problem is CUNA took out nearly 50 more than stated premium from my Credit Union account. It has been 5 days and they still cannot tell me why or when correction will occur. Just awful"

"We have long term care policy with CUNA Mutual and I requested a copy of the policy, misplaced mine, from customer service agent over 6 weeks ago and so far no copy or response. Now I am concerned about claim handling by this company should the need ever occurs."

"I have had disability insurance with this company for over 10 years. Everyone i have purchased a vehicle I get this disability insurance. I got into q wreck back in Oct 2015 and I was out work full time until March 2016. They paid those benefits but when they realized I was out part time for 8 months they wanted my self emPloyment information. I sent that then she wanted to talk with the doctor after he sent a letter on there letterhead informing her what she needed. He spoke with her and that wasn't enough. NOW SHE WANT TAX RETURNS FROM 2009. WHAT THE HELL 2009 GOT TO DO WITH AN ACCIDENT THAT HAPPENED IN 2015. THEY WILL TRY AND DO ANYTHING TO DELAY A CLAIM. THEY R ACTING N BAD FAITH. I'M DONE WITH THEM."

"They say they fax the doctors and when I call the doctors they have not received anything from CUNA. I do not know what the hold up is but I call daily and have them relax with no received dr fax. I have been dealing with Cuna for over a year. I am on social security disability and they still won't pay. What the hell I might just as well say this is already done, because they will say you can work a few hrs and what will that accomplish. I am very unhappy."

"Set up auto pay and received a letter all was good to go. Suddenly my policy was cancelled due to nonpayment. They claimed they had an issue with auto withdrawl, I have never had any issues with my back on auto withdrawls. I asked why I never received notification about this issue and was told they don't send emails, apparently they send letters. I never received a letter from the company. I was told they couldn't continue my old policy, I was a month behind, but they'd gladly issue a new policy starting today. They back peddled on many things during my conversation with them. This is a company to think twice about doing business with. "

"have been paying for payment protection plan. got injured and put in claim with Cuna they bombard you with paper work to discourage you from submitting the claim. STAY AWAY from this company. they are thieves. i am gonna report them to the BBB."

"I had insurance on a loan with CUNA I was out of work on disability and CUNA were to pay on the loan for the month that I was out from work. The initial claim I submitted was denied because they said I had a pre existing condition I explained I completed the form incorrectly and the agent argued with me telling me NOPE STILL DENIED while im explaining to her that it was an innocent mistake and I can resend her the form with all the right info and they may contact whomever. I had to request to speak with someone else they invited me to resubmit the claim that second claim was never processed or investigated. My employer had to call to mediate the situation but got nowhere. They continued with their stance from the initial claim that I was denied due to pre existing condition. To date I haven't received a follow up call letter nothing. I thought insurance companies could not deny you on such basis. le. I would NEVER EVER take out any insurance with CUNA and for the 5 people that work there I hope when your on your death bed I'm not the one that has to care for your sorry asses. "

"This company is the most unprofessional agency I have ever seen. Be sure you have a will in place if you take out Life Insurance with them. They will find any excuse to not pay out the policy benefits. I know of someone who had a person to challenge a beneficiary change and they neve did an investigation they just held up the payment forever and caused the biggest mess you could imagine Their only concern was making sure no one would sue them "

"I have had life insurance with this company for 25 yrs. I recently moved and my bill was returned to the company and they NEVER tried to contact me by phone. I asked the service dept. why they never attempted to contact me and she said its not their policy.... Well i would think if you get someones mail returned twice that you would try to contact them with the number ON FILE DUH Now it is costing me 444.00 to reinstate my policy because of their mistake nice Sounds like a BIG SCAM to me If I didn't have this policy for so long I would cancel all my policies w/them Funny my new policy reached me that they haven't got much money from yet They are SCAMMERS THIEF'S in my eyes.... I'm getting older so they probably figured they would have to pay out some money so it would be convenient to cancel me in hopes I wouldn't notice until it was too late.... POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE Don't ask for a good contact number if you don't plan on using it for your customerswhat's the point Use another Insurance company I didn't know Cuna Mutual had such BAD reviews I got this policy 25 yrs. ago and this is how they treat their long term clients "

"this customer service is the worse i have ever encountered. They know nothinggive out incorrect information and cant seem to understand what you're telling them when they've made an error and are unable to correct errors. I am on my 5th call to them and they still have not corrected the problem"

"I had the loan protection insurance in case loss of job for 2.5 years and when it came time to claim on this for 1 single payment and 3 months later I am still trying...They simply keep telling me I need to send more info (info I have sent 3 times, already). They want info that my previous employer is not allowed to give out and on the phone just keep saying they need this form from my employer to say "temporary, permanent, or seasonal" even though my prev. employer does not use these terms when hiring..."

"This insurance company is the absolute worse I've ever seen. I filed a claim for unemployment insurance that I had on several loans and it was denied cause I was injured at work and couldn't work the week before I was laid off. I had another loan same policy different company and it was approved. They will find whatever loophole they can to take the money you pay in for so many years just so they won't have to pay out. "

"We lost $1652.16 when my husband and I had to take our money out of CUNA. None of that was for Federal or State taxes, that is still to come. If you want to be screwed. Hook up with CUNA."

"I am cancelling my long term care policy with CUNA. There was an error in my medical records. Because of this error CUNA charged me a 50% premium penalty. My medical records have been corrected. CUNA will not change my premium. They want me to continue to pay a penalty for a medical condition I do not have. I have never filed a claim with CUNA. I believe if and when I would ever need to file a claim CUNA would find some reason to disallow the claim. After paying them over $2,500 in excess premium I've had enough. Their customer service is one of the worse I have experienced. I wish I would have checked out this company before giving them a cent. "

"I was not a smart consumer. When my husband died, I was offered this life insurance with no exams required. However, I didn't realize it would terminate at age 75 and I would be left with nothing. Now, I'm faced with turning it into whole life, or just cancelling it. The whole life is very expensive, so I don't know what to do."
